I find it very hard to believe either of them would be sold as pre-owned, …I find it very hard to believe either of them would be sold as pre-owned, They usually turn up in the store as brand new if they are, Star wars RO a movie that was released only a few months ago turned into a pre-owned item? I don't think so. The wrap on the blu-ray looks like its been fiddled with. I accuse you of faking it for the star wars one at least.

Yup, you’ve caught me....

As a long time member of HUKD I have absolutely nothing better to do with my time than fake a Poundland purchase to gain heat on a money saving app that offers absolutely no reward to me.

Just or your information, replay items are 99% of the time repacked before hitting the shops.

Replay items are originally from musicmagpie and are purchased in bulk by Poundland.

Maidstone (week st) but all gone, snapped up by customers at the tim

Was in both Wigan Poundland stores on Monday and just the usual stuff, most of which probably isn't worth £1. Only thought Suicide Squad was ok, but would of had that and Star Wars for £1

Could you post a clearer version of your receit? none of that seems readable.

The receipt won’t show film titles... they scan under generic barcodes

Fake news

Hmm I don't think a star wars film on bluray would ever end up in poundland

I'm not saying it's a fake but there are a few things that seem a bit strange. I don't think i've ever seen any mentions here (or seen any in-store myself) of any pre-owned blu-rays at poundland. Being such new and popular movies is very odd, especially that they have more than one at that store supposedly. I also thought they usually differentate between the pre-owned DVDs and the new ones on the reciepts but maybe i'm just misremembering that or it's changed.

Why did you not take a photo of the them actually in the shop? That would have been something harder for people to claim is a fake, really.

Poundland started selling Replay Blu-rays a month or two back. Hacksaw Ridge, Suicide Squad and Doctor Strange have been spotted in stores. There isn't any difference between new and Replay barcodes on receipts, they're just labelled DVD, Blu-ray or CD. And the quality of the shrink-wrap is down to the person at musicMagpie re-sealing the item.

Fantastic finds.

Tbh I’ve never done that regarding a deal I’ve posted, made the purchase, dumped Star Trek at cex and went for a fry-up

I could take a pic with the CEO of Poundland and some will still doubt it.

The deals legit... if members wish to doubt it then they can.

See, Moriarty, we all knew you'd get caught one day! Criminal masterminds like this ALWAYS do. Truth will out.

Thank gawd for the Sherlocks on this site, otherwise we'd all be duped by people like you and your fake Poundland deals. I hate that feeling of handing over heat for no reason.

Hahaha to you because I bet you're gutted about losing all that money you would've made from this fake deal.

Thank you, HUKD Sherlocks. Catastrophe averted. We can all sleep well tonight.

My local Poundland had big poster up, advertising new and improved DVD & Blu-Ray section.
Reality was that they had even less than before!!

Our poundland in Rugby have been selling blu-ray replays for years. Not many usually compared to DVDs and usually a few of the same one. I've recently picked up Smurfs 2 (2d & 3d versions included) so it's hit & miss as to what each store gets. I've seen Starwars in there before but don't know which version - could have been one of the older "new" ones from a fair few years ago. Had older classics like green mile etc. If you get to know your local staff, they usually know the pattern of delivery days when they expect to get fresh supplies in so you can beat the vultures.

This is good advice but why others are 'vultures' and you are not, when you just do the same thing as them (buy DVDs)?

Excellent finds! Will try my local today. Last week found Hologram For The King, well chuffed.

Are you sure they were blu-ray replays, and not just blu-rays though? The poundlands here have been selling blu-rays for years but i've never seen any replays for them in the 5 or so poundlands we've had.

Their DVDs use different stickers on the back to the new ones, i think. Their pre-owned DVDs definitely mention that they're pre-owned on the barcode sticker on the back (i checked earlier), so it seems odd that they wouldn't do that with their pre-owned blu-rays as well if this is real

Where did you find those have been spotted? I've not been able to find any information about it at all except a deal a few days ago that seemed like it was a fake. Searching for those movies you mentioned i can't find anything in relation to poundland selling them.

They might not differentiate on the reciepts but the barcodes on the cases definitely mention pre-owned when they're pre-owned DVDs.

They started a few months back, they all (in my experience) have the red barcode sticker on the back regardless of their new or Replay condition. The newer titles I mentioned were mentioned on another forum.

I don't do the same thing as them. By vultures I mean those that are there as soon as the shelves are stocked, taking as much as they can to sell on or take to the likes of CEX. I buy as & when I drop in, like anyone else, so if somethings there I want, I buy.

Definitely replays as far as I know, or at least that was what the stickers said. Same with cd's etc. Maybe our store was / is a test store or similar.
