I went the other route and binned my other sequel trilogy discs and pretend they never existed. Much better
This movie, whatever you think of it, is a great example of 3d and the best of the trilogy in that respect.
At this point I feel like I'm in the small minority of people who still has a 3DTV, and quite frankly, it is getting on a bit now.
I'm with you. I'm dreading the day it packs up
This film was great I thought on my old 3d TV. Should've kept the set really as a spare
Thankfully there's still 3D projectors to show them with
Just a few years ago, I managed to find a panasonic telly that's 4k, HDR, and also does 3d (at 1080p). It was one of the last 3d tellies to be made, and wasn't cheap. I'll be in a panic when it eventually packs in
Oh wow, how's the 3D on it? Active or passive?
I have a Sony active 3D tv, and it can look very good, but definitely a bit more finicky to get the sweet spot. I bet much later models improved though.
what model number was it? I have a Panasonic Plasma 1080P 3d TV and TBH i love it and looks better then a lot of 4K TVs so my OH wont let me update the living room TV, so to watch 4k i need to be in the games room, so would be nice to keep my eye out for something
Their 2016 OLED 3D TVs are the ones to get
E.g. tbe LG OLED65E6V
Really lame that they dropped 3D the following year and since
Active. The glasses were 40 quid a pop, but they're rechargable.
It's actually really good as far as I can tell. I've never owned a 3D TV before though, so my only previous experience with them has been in a shop (passive 3D) which was terrible as you could clearly see the lines. I also saw some 3D stuff on a friend's TV, which was active. That seemed about the same as mine, as far as I recall. The 3D conversion (only works for 1080p input) works fairly well, except It's like looking through a window, rather than objects coming out of the TV at you.
I don't have any bother with a sweet spot. It's a really wide angle you can watch from. Though it looks weird one you go too far to the side of the telly.

This one. It was 850 quid at the time. Quite a lot for a 50", when you could get the non-3D version for about half that. There were bigger versions too (up to 75" I think). I've seen them occasionally pop up on "refurbished" websites, but I haven't looked for ages, and can't remember what sites I saw them on.
Thats cool Cheers, I have 2 3D TVs in my house, the 47" active plasma, and a 42" passive Finlux, and at the time i saw more but the Panasonic active plasma was the best looking and great for games so will def check out the panasonic and 47" inch at the time was as big as I was allowed to go, so pushing for a 50" would be about right, but i wont be alllowed to go bigger anyway lol
