Just beat me to it! Probably - like Episodes IV/V/VI - just for 24 hours. They haven't dropped Episodes I/II/III yet, but hopefully they will do. Heat!

I agree, save my money then

The cheapest I've seen for all 9 in HD (excluding RO & Solo) is $99.99 on iTunes Canada - which works out at just under £60, which is pretty good. Google Play have the whole 9 for £62.99 at present. They might do something for May the Fourth.

Been available since Monday with the release of Rise of the Skywalker? Unless you are referring to something different?

Ah right - not coming up on CheapCharts as available. So £7 more expensive than Google Play. I only need to get Episodes I/II/II and TROS for the 11.

Also, if you don't already have one, I'd recommend either a Firestick or a Roku to be able to watch your iTunes/Google Play purchases on your TV with zero fuss.

Thanks @Ab001 worth knowing for those who dont have iTunes
There’s a story about Disney doing a big digital sale in May including the Star Wars films. Only U.S. pricing so far (starting from $4.99 in one story I saw) but I would imagine it will be over here as well.

Not really, since this is just HD, and Disney + gives you access to 4K versions.

Are the special features the same?
Are the 4K versions of the Star War films only available on the Disney+ service(?) and never likely to come to iTunes? I thought I read that somewhere, and only ask as I see Rakuten are offering the latest one in 4K on their streaming service.

Apparently Disney want to charge extra for 4K over HD price. Apple want distributors to give 4K at no extra cost. Thats where the dispute is. Amazon have 4K disney films for extra too

Do you think it likely they’ll come to an agreement and be able to supply 4K versions? I’m on Apple’s side here obviously as an ATV owner, but see Disney’s point of view seeing that in the past (pre-digital streaming) DVD became Blu-ray, became UHD and the consumer had to keep paying for the upgrade. Although I suppose this time round there’s no physical media change and just a new stream. I hope Disney change their mind before too long.

I personally hope they do, but i doubt it anytime soon tbh. I think they will favour disney+ tbh

They do have Extra's on Disney+, I've no idea if they are the same though.

Apple have very close ties to Disney so I would think they will get the 4k upgrades eventually.
Once Disney+ has had its opening period and the 'new' factor has gone I would guess they will do what the other studios have done.
Studios won't risk upsetting other platforms.

They do but its only deleted scenes and the official trailer. This has the same special features as the blu ray. Amazon has these but are at the end of the film in one 4 hour+ film and special features track. Cant seem to select which feature you want to watch.
