Taken into context of the whole saga, this film is an absolute travesty. Just confirms that there was no real need for the last trilogy and more importantly how bad things work out when there is no plan for a trilogy story arc.

But as previous poster mentioned, great price if you want to check it out. Voted hot

As a life long Star Wars fan.....I fell asleep in the cinema watching this.
Yes I’ll buy it at some point but this is a great price to make your own decision.

The Last Jedi: Incredibly divisive film, some hate it for deviating from expectations while others love it for what they perceive to be a bold new direction for the series.

Rise of Skywalker: A 'MEH' you could hear from space

so much for woke star wars
Good film, not as good as the brilliant The Last Jedi.

Good price.

Being "woke" wasn't the issue.
The issue is they are poorly thought out films that at times are boring.
Awful film, with stupid plot points.

Shhhh, don't interrupt his little tantrum.
Wanted to vote cold to protest what a bad film I thought this was... But we’re a deal site and not a review site and this is a great price!

That people enjoy this film, irks me a little (I know that is stupid but I'm sure you can find a film where it's just beyond comprehension as to how anyone can like it lol). But I always remind myself that I love some really awful movies so why can't they. It's funny though, because you can either watch the original trilogy (plus/minus prequels) or watch the Disney trilogy. But if you want it to make sense you can't watch both. Well you can as long as you don't care about story, structure, consistency or logic. What's worse is that you can't even watch the 3 films within the Disney trilogy without the same issues.
This video pretty much highlights the issues.

This wasn't so much about expectations. Rian the destroyer (yes that's his official name now, cause I said so lol) deliberately ignored everything JJ set up. From his own mouth he says that he wasn't interested in the Star Wars universe, only in his story. So you come into a 40 year IP, totally ignore everything set up previously then stamp the Kennedy agenda into its DNA. How is that not going to be divisive lol.
Here's one for TLJ:

This is just getting sad now.

Agreed, but probably for completely different reasons lol.

Its pretty amazing what a mess Disney made of the trilogy. I thought TLJ would be the worst Star Wars movie, but I was wrong ROS somehow turned out even worse.

I'm guessing that fans have consigned them two different parts of Hell. RoS is probably the worst film in the trilogy, but much of that is because it was trying to fix the issues with TLJ. I get why people were so excited about TLJ, personally I just left the cinema bewildered. You can go your own way but you have to respect the path you arrived on. Rian showed total disrespect not just to JJ and TFA but to Star Wars. To be fair, from her own mouth, Kennedy didn't believe that there were any Star Wars sources. Even though there are hundreds of books, comics and animated series. TFA was a shaky foundation but you can't just rip it out to build a new one in the middle of a 3 part trilogy lol.

But anyway let's get back to the point of this thread. This is a good deal

I’ve watched half of it , but can’t bring myself to finish it , hmmm maybe one day.

but now is not that time.
Thanks OP.
Have just finished watching the previous two and now this gives me a good excuse to finally watch the final one. (Any excuse to keep kids entertained for a few hours....)
I would rather go and get £2.24 worth of pick & mix
Can't help but think of Limmy taking the P out of Richard E Grant whenever I hear Rise of Skywalker.

I think you'll find the guy was making a joke - fell asleep/woke?
Classic how to destroy a franchise.
Garbage no more to say.
I'm a huge Star Wars fan and enjoyed this and all the films. A family member who was born in the mid 90's loves the prequels and doesn't like ANH ESB or ROTJ, my son who is 10 laughs when I watch ESB and says the graphics effects are bad, and he loves all the new films.

Every generation loves music/movies from their era and everyone of them says I remember when…?
Due to come to Disney+ on May 4th

I agree it seemed rushed to put things together So many mistakes of chronological items in the film as well
