Ordered! Thanks
Damn good price for any X1 controller. Pity the design is naff imo.
is this better quality and build compared to the poor oem
Why would anyone these days pay nearly £30 for a wired controller. spend 35 and have a wireless one with the new 3.5mm jack or the lunar one which is even better? I could see if you wanted a cheaper second controller, but cables are such a pain. oO Cold for me
Such a shame it's wired as my couch is miles from the Xbox, great deal though, voted hot
great price for using with PC. Hot

Don't have to spend £20 to buy a wireless receiver if you're using it on PC (cheap controller=£35+wireless adapter(£20)=£55)

don't really get where ur coming from with this comment. and a wireless adapter, I assume Bluetooth, is only about 3 quid.

Nope its proprietary. Only works on windows 10 as well. Although connecting your normal xbox one controller with the micro usb cable achieves the same effect. Might be useful if you bounce between xbox and PC all the time though, saves having to resync the controller.

Maybe people hate buying batteries too..... but yeah, cheaper alternative for a PC gamer if you think about it for more than a second. Heat.
Am i right in saying as this has the 3.5 m jack i can plug in headphones? only asking as i got the xbox one stereo headset adapter which i not got round to trying yet so guess i could sell on now?

Free delivery?
How do these feel and are they sturdy? Would like a cheap pad for the kids when they play rayman or Lego so they don't use my lovely pads!

You might as well sell it on whilst you can as all of the never Xbox One controllers have a 3.5mm jack now.

As sturdy as it gets for a game-pad - still my preferred controller this generation.

My only reservation is "wired" - as my wired 360 pads, without exception, failed with the exact same fault, which was a bad connection overtime at the joint where the cable enters the main unit.

I would suggest picking up a Xbone pad that has the detachable USB cable - if this version is "fixed".

This may be 'officially licensed' but it is not an official pad. Very poor reviews on Amazon for these.
Video review of R2 version. Identical in all but colour:

Great deal for a wired one but I ordered the Lunar controller from game for £40 which is wireless but then I have no idea what else it does!!
Wired?....isn't this 2015?
Had mine for about 3 hours now, Started off dubious as upon inspection the product looked repackaged and had fingerprints on the thumbsticks. Working on windows 10, however product is very poor quality, light and plasticky. Design is already starting to fade.Sharp edges around triggers likely to cause blistering over time. Regretting purchase as my wired 360 pad was cheaper and feels better.
this looks like a better buy if you need wired:

Dual rumble motors and impulse triggers.
(not included)

Any clues?

Good to know. Basically, forget about it then (_;)
read the reviews, these controllers are dreadful quality. not worth £15 let alone £25. do not confuse these with the official controller. most people seem to be returning them.

Is it plug and play in the pc or do i need some kind of driver for windows 7 ?

Edited by: "buckiebull" 28th Nov 2015
does it even work with pc out of the box, or will you need a driver or software?

My son won't care about the reviews on these on Xmas morning, all he'll care about is that it has Kylo Ren on it!!

Plug in and play. If you're doing it wirelessly, then you would need to download drivers.
The controller automatically downloads the software and blah, like plugging in an external hard drive

It works as soon as you plug it into the USB ports. Just can't use it for internet browsing/normal computer functions, but why would you want to? It's for games X)

Poor OEM? Seriously? the Genuine Xbox One controller is really good build quality, if you find that to be poorly built then you are going to be dissapointed with all controllers on the market except maybe the elite controller.
Cheers OP, reserved for collection tomorrow. ☺️

Do some research. XB1 controllers aren't run using bluetooth. PS4 on the other hand is.
The adapter was only released two or three days ago. Go find an adapter that will work properly. Here's the £20 adapter:

Wish I'd bought this instead of the £20 rock candy controller that has no headphone socket

Wireless controllers are more heavier and clunky because of the battery pack.
I only use my wireless when im not playing competitive games or if Im just watching netflix etc

I've had a nightmare of a time with Xbox One pads, it's taken me over a year to get two that work perfectly. In that time I've had 8 of them, two of which are perfect, one covert forces model and the Forza 6 model. I bought the Luna White model when that was realised and that one came with two broken buttons out of the box so the build quality doesn't appear to have improved much since launch.
Not worth any money had one and sent it back it was so cheap and tacky
damn, just collected mine and realised its not made by Microsoft.. what a shame, controller is absolute rubbish.
luckily didn't open mine so just going to return it, certainly not worth 24.99.

Very poor reviews on Amazon. I looked at getting on earlier in the year and saw it has a lot of drawbacks. In fact someone who was praising it then re did their review saying it had broken within 3 months. I was just about to purchase one and saw that immediately cancelling me order.
just tried to order but it said code invalid
