Product Description
We’ve always loved Colombian coffee. And we’re never reminded of that love more than when we are traveling to visit the coffee farms. Driving treacherous dirt roads with only a sheer mountain wall to the right side—to the left nothing but air for thousands of feet. Sitting at 6,500 feet of elevation, nestled among the beautiful and distinctive Colombian countryside, these farms produce the very best of this amazing coffee. For us the round body, juicy taste and signature nutty finish are worth the journey every single time.

Starbucks espresso capsules are made with some of the finest Starbucks 100% Arabica coffee, ethically sourced and roasted. With Starbucks espresso capsules, you can now create your perfect cup in the comfort of your own home

To deliver the perfect espresso coffee every time, Starbucks espresso capsules have an aluminium lining. This ensures the blades of your machine can easily perforate it, so that the water can run through the coffee inside the capsules optimally, giving you a perfect espresso each and every time.

Machine Compatibility

Starbucks espresso capsules are compatible with Nespresso* brand coffee machines, except from built-in Nespresso* machines, such as the Miele integrated unit or a Business solution Nespresso* machine.

Thanks, ordered.
Note that there are new versions of these just released by Nestle. (The boxes are different). These are the "old" boxes, and they are likely trying to get rid of the old stock. Therefore I'm guessing that the expiry date on these won't be that far away (I could be wrong though).

There's some cheaper ones in the Warehouse with expiry in November 19 so you're probably right. These may not have reached whatever threshold Amazon use for selling off as short dated.
These are the older plastic pods. Mostly work fine.
The new ones are alloy pods in nespresso type boxes and work spot on

Thanks, I've gone for the Warehouse ones at £8.64 which expire 16th November. Not too worried about using them past the BBE date

They are indeed plastic, however Starbucks will recycle them if you get a bag from a Starbucks store. The bag has an address on for free recycling or you can just take the bag back to the store

I don't. I propose we get a clinically depressed teenager to cry at the pods, it won't make them disappear, but anybody who believes in the teenager and accepts her as our saviour will feel the same level of absolution of personal responsibility for the destruction of the environment that they would have felt by burning fossil fuels to take the pods back to a Starbucks store. They can then simply toss them in the bin without negatively impacting their smugness levels.
