Starbucks are the best i think out of the two

Thanks for this - voted hot!

Confirmed, this was advertised in the Metro paper, the Telegraph, and the Times today, so it's a big event. I also walked by a Starbucks that had a poster outside advertising this.

However, as with most free giveaways like this, you should consider whether it's worth your time waiting in the long lines to get a couple pounds worth of coffee free during the middle of the day (is middle of the day coffee worth as much as morning coffee???)

Great offer if you love Starbucks!

well i dont think i would go out of my way just to get a free coffee but its good to know if you do have one local, even if you usually go elsewhere, a change is as good as a rest!, esp if its free!

Thanks for the pointer

I'm passing at about 3pm so I'll have a look. A free coffee sounds great even if it doesn't taste as good as my Nicaraguan coffee beans that I freshly grind at home. :giggle:

If its not busy it's worth popping in! I am sure they are hoping for you to buy extras while waiting ... and a large Muffin Sir!

This great. It's not so long since Starbucks wouldn't sell "Fair-Trade" coffee - preferring to sell their own version of "socially responsible product".

Now if only they'd allow the farmers to use the name of the coffee they grow (Starbucks put a patent on the names) .....

of course!, thats what all freebies are about, the hope that the customer will buy something else whilst there! or love it so much go back for more, next time as a paying customer!

Good post if you are near a Starbuck. The nearest to me is over 50 miles away. Voted hot.

voted hot! - now if only i were accessing this from a wireless hotspot at starbucks lol

i have been very nice coffee and of cause it was free because of fair trade farmers day.

Hi, managed to get 2 cups, only wanted one but the the guy said how many!
anyway grabbed one for collegue.
I saw this in Metro also yesterday by chance. Coffee was alright black no milk so had to add some when I got to work!:-D

I love thier Vanilla Latte but its way too expensive even after the 15% NHS discount.

So I stick to my Nestle cafe vanille sachets.
voted hot.

Festival crowd in local starbucks :whistling:

Went today, not hearing of the offer, but picked one up anyway.

Bloody horrible stuff! It left a horrible taste in my mouth, like i'd just smoked 40 fags or somthing. That was after adding the milk to it too. Still... it was free
