I love starbucks own blend coffee, and I am a huge coffee snob so don't try tell me it's rubbish or that I'm some sort of corporate sell out.

Anyway, I've been paying £3.99 for these for a while, I nearly cried when I saw them in sainsburys for £3 but all sold out the other day, but alas, the universe rewarded my patience with an even better deal, £2.50!!

They have the 3 main blends they sell in supermarkets all on the same offer, Blonde (not actually that good), Dark roast and Medium. that is available online and instore.

Fill ya boots you coffee horrors!

LOL!

Starbucks coffe = terror. Even more so when it was ground 6 months ago!

it's a good deal if you want a something better than freeze dried...

p.s... no coffee snob would ever admit to drinking Starbucks, nor would they buy preground coffee!

I don't think "alas" means what you think it means.

Brilliant, I'm running out of coffee and am about 5 mins from Asda. :-)

Costco sells a large bag of beans for about £7. Works out half usual prices.

I think he meant "at last".

Hi

With all due respect, I can safely say that you are not a "coffee snob" but only you will know if you are "huge"

I agree with bbbspen1; firstly pre-ground would be way off-limits to the real coffee 'connoisseur' (of which I am not) and secondly, Starbucks coffee is not particularly nice or well-regarded at all (each to their own). IMHO, far nicer pre-ground can be had at any supermarket for £3 and under for for 227-250g and for similar money there are specialist suppliers that can offer even better quality.

Cheers

Starbucks is to coffee as Cheryl Cole is to music. very popular, perfectly palatable and not overly offensive or unpleasant ... but just how much credibility or respect does she have when compared to 'proper' musicians?

the only good Starbuck is the one in Battlestar Galactica.

Monmouth.....For 'real' snobs, not limited to just coffee.

Actually I get this for work, where I'm afraid I can't grind beans etc. It is also an every day coffee, of which I drink far too much to really indulge in my favourites, one of which you can see below:

Of course, that is £60 per 100g and I can only buy it when I'm visiting the Philippines so I couldn't afford to drink it on a daily basis even if I had a grinder at work.

In any case, If you don't like the deal, jog on.

Get a grinder and buy whole beans. You'll get a far nicer cup of coffee even with the supermarket own-brand beans.

Pretty good deal! I don't think there is really better ground coffee for this price at the supermarket.

I prefer the Starbucks Kenya blend, the Guatemala Antigua blend is nice too but they are only in the Starbucks stores I think.

As has been pointed out though, the best coffee is freshly roasted beans (like roasted around 5-7 days ago) and ground the minute before you brew it but you going to be paying triple the price. The key to good coffee is having the beans fresh, not to be rude but I just don't see how the £60 per 100g coffee can be any good. All beans just taste like nothing after a week or two unless they are preserved in nitrogen like the beans you get at a supermarket and once they are opened they suck after a week or so.

Well worth a try at £2.50. Have some heat for the deal (and the expert photoshopping of the ultra rare Philippino coffee. )

Amusing retort but you need to work on the photo-editing a little

Enjoy your cuppa!
