I know this is subjective, but does anyone have recommendations for nice tasting Nespresso compatible capsules?

Out of all of them i have found the asda columbian ones are pretty decent and the closet taste and quality you’ll get to the original nespresso.

    At £2 for 10, bargain.

Decent price for supermarket, but I've given up buying these in shops, almost inevitably cheaper online, either Amazon or Discount Dragon

I know what you’re saying but I looked at the DD links and it’s like 100 of the same capsule so if you want a selection this is good. Last year I brought a big pack of holiday blend and was definitely sick of it by Christmas!

The red intensity 13 ones? Have been contemplating these for a while but fear the consequences

Has anyone had any issues with Starbacks pods? I've been using them for a few weeks with a Magimix machine and I had 2-3 instances where the coffee tasted of burnt plastic.

Never had this with other pods, just theirs so far. Shame because I quite liked them.

Not had that no, also Magimix machine. I know you said it doesn’t happen with other pods but have you descaled recently? Could need a clean? There’s also some articles that say over extracting the pod impacts taste. Guilty of that myself as I always just press the lungo button even if it’s an espresso pod. I guess final check would be the date on your pods if you still have the box? Some of the discount sites sell close to ‘expiry dates’ so you may have had an old pod?

Other than that not sure. I’ve only ever had issues with plastic pods.
