good find op, heat added

might be prudent to mention that the base game is required to play this expansion

Except I struggle to think of any RTS, ever, where the base game hasn't been required....

Never played that game - hence my struggle.

Both Dawn of War games had standalone expansions. To be fair I did wonder when I first saw this at a decent price whether it was standalone or not. It's easy enough to find out, but no harm in putting it in the description.

what a deal, especially for a packaged version of the game! hot hot hot!!

best RTS series ever.

Now that I think about it, Supreme Commander Forged Alliance may have been standalone too.

HEAT heat heat! Awesome find thanks for sharing!

I am a massive Command and Conquer fan. Would I enjoy Starcraft? It's always seemed too sterile for my liking.

Just ordered this and Skyrim Legendary Edition which is £6.50 using my clubcard vouchers so effectively free games.

Thank you for posting and feel free to post the Skyrim Legendary Edition at £6.50 as a deal.

It seems to be one of those fanatical games so give it a try but you need the original base game as well if you want to play this one.

Most likely yes. I love the original C&C games and was also a massive SC fan too.

Did you enjoy Tib Sun etc? Pretty much more of the same except you can play 2 alien factions rather than human ones. So if you liked those C&C games then this I'd be hard pressed to say you wouldn't like. There are a few differences in the game play style but otherwise it's more of the same but a different universe.

If you are going to try get into it then I'd suggest you play the first game and expansions as it's all one long story The original games easily can be picked up for £5. I recently replayed the original games and to be honest the graphics don't feel all that old considering it's age and it still plays very like Command and Conquer Red Alert 2.

As to the deal. BARGAIN! Shame I paid full price.

I'll try and pick up the first one. Thanks for the replies.

it's better then the last couple of c&c games by miles, and that's coming from someone who loves c&c

but try the blizzard.net offers, think it was cheaper to download it rather then buy the disc

£4 for the expansion? Having some of that! (Was going to get the CE version for £25 but meh. Not worth it for a mouse pad and ingame items)

Only reason this is so low is the new one is coming out soon. So only buy this if you fancy doing the story mode which tbh is pretty poop. Wings of liberty is much better and bigger. Online is basically worse!! Everything is faster than ever. I was master rank 2 and 5 twice in a row on wings of liberty but get put into poopy diamond on this and the game is full of idiots who attack your base on start! I mean allies lol wtf? This is why its so cheap its pretty bad!

Now £5 on Amazon as well, although not currently in stock but can order.

Sean can you clarify?
Surely you need all 3 copies to have all units? And not just legacy of the void?

How does online work with the expansion? Can you play wings of liberty only games, and also heart of the swarm games?

I thought blizzard constantly refined the balance of the races etc with updates.

Zerg rushing is common to be honest, pain as it is. Certainly was with the original Starcraft.

I've really enjoyed the Wings of Liberty story mode, once I got into it.
