Not sure if it works because you have to log in but a banner on the page said save 10% with code SAVE10.

Also, vivoactive 3 does not take in the running dynamics data which is gathered by a standalone pod or with a HRM chest strap, hence I'm looking at 245, 945 and 645 right now
Just noticed that it's 10% off at start fitness again. The code didn't work for a while there.
For those still looking, Wiggle price matched this for me. I hadn’t heard of Start Fitness so thought I’d check with wiggle and they agreed to price match!
Loving my 245 music, I nearly sent it back for the va3m but it is a better looking watch and buttons work a treat. SpO2 is a gimmick I don't need and also seems a bit pointless given there is no altimeter but it works and it's new and that is what you're paying for! That said I only keep my garmin watches for about 3 months before moving on to the next one which I hope will be the 945 if I can find a sensible price!
That makes sense, thanks for the info!
Not my style not going to lie, but surely a good price for the brand
sold be start fitness https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B009JGZ5F6/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new
Yeah, only this model is £10. Maybe a mod has added the image above, though. Look more like Elvis glasses to me! (angel)
Only vintage style at £10.00. Other £20.00 or above
Oos now sadly great deal
Nothing that some little tweaks can't fix. Slide the saddle back and forward, different stem and bars. As long as the sizing is about right it will be fine for most, provided it is to be used off road.
Yeah you’d need a bit on top for flatter areas
It's one of those balances, I ride to the park, so any downhill on tarmac, you peddle off the top. if you take the bike to where you are going to ride fine, but this is a pure off roader so.
It’s you lowest gear 26/42 is low and top gear is 36/11 that’s a very low and very high gear for mtbing
Giant Fastroad Comax. It has disc brakes so will take fairly wide tyres.
Just bough a 2019 Giant ATX1 from tredz for £399, top top bikeage!
I think size S for you but I would double check ina store. Best to try out unless you get it online http://calibrebicycles.com/bike/rake/ - also look at the bottom of the page, I’m 180 cm and bought M, fits perfectly
I been looking at this bike in particular, I'm 5'6 what size frame would you recommend?
wheel size I believe
This is something i will wear in airsoft
Good buy for when I am next at Dalby Forest. My mate fractured his spine coming off a mountain bike recently.
kinda thought it was some cosplay thing, i guess a tin of spray paint and a few 3d printed additions, and you're good to go
Odd, I thought "Corbyn" was a banned keyword on here?
This is essentially just a roost guard so wouldn't offer much protection imo.
'Made in Germany' originally was a warning about product quality. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Made_in_Germany Then they became a renowned engineering country and nowadays they are back down again as some of the least reliable cars and motorbikes etc, nowadays more because of over-complicated products and relying on income from high cost spares. Japanese remain at this point in time probably the best engineered products in the world with the lowest cost of ownership but that could change. I don't think German or Japanese bicycles were anything special though and nowadays pretty much all bicycles are made in the far east even if they get slightly detoured for some minor assembly in Europe or maybe the USA. Taiwan represents easily the best country for quality manufactured bicycles with mainland China catching up for some factories but those are mainly taiwanese owned anyway.
So now the 100GBP bike is $329 plus shipping plus tax just for the frame. Then adding a group-set, wheels and suspension you will soon exceed the 2k mark from a Chinese copy of dubious quality. Would you risk your life on a Chinese copy. These bikes are not meant for cycling to the shops over a few pot holes. I buy many things direct from China - but the biggest problem is quality control - I have bought an OEM item that sells for 8k (including taxes and duty and QC) for 1k plus duty and tax and shipping (1.6k) and it took me three attempts to get one that was as good as the QC's one. The problems included noise and poor fit of components mechanically. Some Chinese companies now compete with Japan - but then you are paying similar prices. Regarding the made in Japan meant junk - this is why the Japanese cameras used to have QC stickers - because they changed their methods to ensure that they could compete in the global market and conquered it.
You will love it. I haven't seen a deal like this for years on a mountain bike. If your riding is more trail/cross country a lighter set of tyres will probably be a good investment. Aside from that this bike is near perfect.
Great deal ordered one in medium Saturday. I had been researching bikes since November and there is nothing of the spec for similar money. This will be my first "proper" MTB as i'm looking to get into trail riding.
Ah.... I missed that as I'd blocked him - life is too short for such trolls. I do wonder if such lunatics should be reported to the police - at some point he's going to clip a cyclist or worse - and when it happens, you have to wonder if it will be another Emma Way type incident (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-25000788) or even worse. I've known way to many of these people in my life - one was a good friend of my fathers, talk about awkward. They're totally irrational to the extreme - it's like the same loathing of 'different' you find in Trump supporters along with a dose of entitlement and 'it's not fair'. Add into this mix that we still can't design safe cycle lanes and consequently many cyclist won't use the more dangerous ones and you get a melting pot of crazy. Cyclists pay just at much income tax towards road building as drivers do. And they pay Vehicle Excise Duty (Road Tax) inline with their CO2 emissions - i.e. they pay zero - the same as all sub 100g/km cars.
Reminds me of those small, cheap hotels. No ballroom. ;-)
beat me to it but here is the link to the deal, https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/selection-of-2xu-capri-from-12-and-full-length-running-tights-from-1999-tkmaxx-3147851 or direct https://www.tkmaxx.com/uk/en/search?q=2xu&sort=publishedDate-desc&facets=stockLevelStatus:inStock&page=0
Check tkmaxx.... they have some there for £20
Unexpired, I didn't expect them to still be in stock, but they are. And now we've hit a spring of sorts it's more helpful than ever.
Thanks for the link to other colours. For Scott, i bought for my partner and they were on point. I've not bought myself anything from them yet. I kitted myself out about a fortnight before i found them but did my shopping at Decathlon. No complaints though, their gear was GREAT.
Here are the other colours: https://www.startfitness.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=scott+aspect+gloves Some are limited in sizes.
How are the sizes for Scott? I find that for other brands I have to buy larger than I expected.
Thanks. That's good to know. I shared this particular colour as they had most sizes available. So glad I found this site a few months back. Training my partner to ride a road bike for longer distances and got her almost completely kitted out with Scott jerseys and a really good softshell jacket for the winter. I'd share more but sizing is sometimes a pain. Ironically she was training for next years Velothon in Cardiff which has since been cancelled! Still, plenty more events out there. Wye Valley Warrior ftw or perhaps that one in Malven.
Sold out. (y)
"Ordered 10 for ebay" (cheeky)
Fair one! Probably should have checked first, PIC changed too. Look on the bright side you didn't buy a Scott Scale 900 XTR earlier in the year for £2750 thinking it was a cracking price ;(
Already posted 27 days ago! The photo in this post is of a 2017 Scott Spark, not a Genius https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/scott-genius-710-plus-full-suspension-mtb-2017-grey-carbon-1999-start-fitness-3090930 A great bike for the money but I'd rather spend a bit more and get the 2018 model from Westbrook Cycles https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/scott-genius-710-full-suspension-mountain-bike-2018rrp-4599-now-2999-westbrook-cycles-extra-11-off-with-code-3092701 The Halloween code has been replaced by a black Friday code with a similar discount plus a free £170 jacket. They have spark 710 and 910 too for the same price.
Good find heat added
I wish I was rich. I would buy anything and everything like this!
anyone got a valid code for this site as the one listed does not work. Thanks
I have finally had chance to ride the bike (was injured), it's fantastic, smooth and light. I'm not hugely knowledgeable about bikes but I took it in for a quick check to the local bike shop and the guy there said it was great value for money and high quality. I'm really happy with it and they're still on for £425 on the site which I would still be happy to pay.
What do you think to it?
I've ordered this for delivery on Monday so can't yet comment on the quality of the bike but I can say that I'm really impressed with their customer service. I cancelled another order with them to order this bike (at the previously posted £425 value), it was processed almost immediately, then when this deal was posted I called again to ask if they'd refund the 10% discount which they again did immediately. I'm really impressed and look forward to receiving my bike on Monday. And thanks for posting the deal OP :)
10-15% added if you want to buy through Cycle2Work scheme!! Very frustrating!
thats true :(
Think we can all claim to be ex-footballers pal after a certain age or amount of injuries, still stands that these boots are overpriced.
i m ex footballer so i know boots well leather ones always better than new non sense nylon ones :) but thanks anyway
Will echo @amazoncrazy welcome. The deal though is not fantastic, the leather variety of the X 16.1's aren't popular and they are a two year old model. The age of the boot shouldn't bother much but for the time it's been out I would expect them to be sub £50.
welcome to hukd @A_YILDIRIM great first post.welcome to the family.hope to get some more great posts.hot from me. :)
wish this was in a large or xl i would try and get this it looks like a beast. Currently have a Whyte 901 that is forever going wrong 8 could do with a new bike
I got a few partys and hol coming up...but promise new year..new me
It’s always in the new year. What’s wrong with this year. Could easily lose many stone in a few weeks doing 10 miles a night on a bike. Depending on current fat levels
I didn't say there was a better deal out there. It's worth what they're asking for a 2 year old model. Oh and it says "alloy swing arm" which I am taking to mean it has a carbon front triangle, not the entire frame. It also needs money spent on it immediately to convert to 1x (for me anyway).
looks beast. This or the hardtail I commented on yesterday? have 2k hidden from the misses. not sure which
A Scott plus bike is designed for 27.5+ tyres upto 3.0" which are the same external diameter as a 2.3" 29er. As long as you don't expect to shoehorn a set of 2.6" tyres on the 29er wheels it should be OK. You get the best of both worlds in one bike with two sets of wheels. You can rarely do it the other way round (plus wheels in a pure 29er frame) Remy Absalon won the Megavalanch enduro event on a Scott genius plus bike fitted with 29er wheels. https://m.vitalmtb.com/photos/features/PIT-BITS-Enduro-World-Series-Samoens-France,9187/Remy-Absalons-Scott-Genius-LT-27-5-Plus-with-29-inch-Wheels,94821/sspomer,2 Also see
Well that’s world champ choice and I have my choice what I enjoy but thanks for advice though. I know whyte S-150(S for switch) can accommodate both 27.5 and 29 but after speaking to few local shops they said Scott might not be able to. How sure are you that Scott’s can deliver same performance on both wheels please?
Is a plus bike so 29er wheels will fit if riding a steamroller floats your boat. Personally I'd rather sacrifice a tiny amount of efficiency for an enjoyable ride. The world xc champ rides a 27.5. It can't bee too inefficient.
Great price good brand with not 29er
I fully agree. I've yet to see a decent carbon frame break, but I've seen many aluminium frames crack after a few years use due to fatigue. A decent carbon frame is lighter, much stiffer and stronger than an aluminium one. Ride quality is better on Carbon too. There is no comparison
Just about every serious XC Racer will be on a Carbon Bike. Scott's very successful XC team will all be on Carbon Scales and Sparks. Nico rides hard and his carbon frames hold up just fine!
Components wise it’s just different top of the range XTR shimano (albeit older 11 speed) with a top of the range kashima fox factory fork on a super light carbon XC frame versus the sram gx eagle 12 speed with some level T brakes and a regular fork, weighing in at 12.4kg which is pretty light for a aluminium full sus. EXTRA10 codegets that bike cheap
I'm not overly fussed with Carbon tbh, have heard it's not the most robust material for an XC bike was more interested in the components fitted to it
Triban 520 would be a lot faster than this bike, not only a lighter bike but much more efficient gearing. The only issue is the rider weight limits, about 85kg for btwin but I think Cannondale are at 136kg for rider weight. 100kg total load for btwin, 160kg total load for cannondale. Personally I'd prefer something like the Giant Rapid 3 which admittedly has a inferior groupset but a much better frame than either of these and can probably match the btwin for weight despite much higher rider weight limits. At this price level there is always some sort of compromise though. I also like the way Giant entry level bikes often get confused for much more expensive bikes due to some brilliant paint jobs on even their lower end bikes. Lastly Giant actually make their own bikes they are an actual manufacturer with their own factories rather than brand/importer.
Hmm, this or the Triban 520 Flat Bar.... So many choices!
Doesn't look bad for half price but how was that bike ever worth £850? Seems like a £250 premium just for the Cannondale name. The cheaper Quick 4 model (normally cheaper but not here becasue of the discounts) has a better spec in real terms. It will be easier up hills and faster on the flats. Off road a 1x drivetrain makes a huge amount of sense for rapid gear changes as you go over different terrain but on the road it can be a bit of a compromise. https://www.startfitness.co.uk/cannondale-2017-quick-4-mens-hybrid-bike-green-c31407m50.html
It's horses for courses Mr .... it very much depends on the type of rider you are.....experience and so on....I ride drops in London... it's a piece of cake... Unless you're a hipster, with flatbars; Hoxton beard optional.... Interestingly a lot of women (sorry if this sounds sexist) do prefer flatbars...as do beginners... or newbies to cycling...
I think flatbar is still best for commuting when you get traffic or more technical routes
anyone recieve this and comment on the quality?
I don’t be replying either (:I
Go on then, I’ll bite, how’s is it racist? Would you say the same if it were bowler hats on sale and someone said ‘get the London look’?
With those grammar skills, I’d be asking for a refund.
No need for that racist comment mate 👌
