What it says on the tin really. A ten socket extension lead (tower type) with surge protection. Labelled as £15 but scans at just £7.

Not the highest quality piece of equipment but cheap even without the surge protection.

Seems to be in store only.

Couldn't find a picture of the actual thing so the image is "representative".

it was £5 in the one i was in today

£5.00 in hartlepool asda

How long is the lead on this?

£5 in local ASDA ~(Harrogate)

If you had ten devices drawing power from one socket, wouldn't that overload it?

No. It'd still be restricted by the 13A main incoming fuse.
So no matter how many devices you had plugged in, the maximum combined current draw would be 13A

Its a 2m lead as I got one a couple of weeks ago for £7, was labelled at £7

The only annoying thing with this is that you cannot take the bottom stand thingy off, even though you may prefer it vertical, there will come a time when you may want to re-arrange everything and find out it doesnt come off

The stand comes off fine on the one I've got.

Why does the title say surge protected, yet in the op's description says not surge protected? Which is it to be? x

Not too much of a bargain as these were selling at only £2 previously in Asda.

Not sure why they have been so cheap.

It IS definately Surge Protected.

Probably about as usefully surge-protected as a chocolate teapot. Surge protection: something you never used to worry about before someone caught on to it as a wheeze to frighten you into buying unnecessary equipment.

+1. Proper power conditioning costs £££, and is generally bulky and heavy. Besides, any 'Surge protected' power strip that is older than a year or two will have lost any effectiveness it may have had.

Still a good price for a multi socket dooberry though:thumbsup:

Thanks for that. But

I hadn't heard that one before.
