Sorry to carp, but check out this product before you buy it, as these rigid units can be fouled by the wrong sort of skirting board or nearby furniture. The ones with a socket and lead and a bit more versatile, especially the Belkin units which are always popping up on special offer in Curry's etc.

Good spot shame no store near me hot anyways

Woohoo, I was going to pop into the Rhyl store later anyway. Voted hot.

understood but this does have a very good clearance away from the wall once plugged in.

Woudln't think one of these particularly stable. It's held in place only by the 3 pins, and having to plug and unplug up to 4 items, which will also dangle from the single socket , to me at least, seems rather dangerous.

good one, heat and repped, think i ve seen similar ones around £30 mark

These are best for single sockets, as the shape might foul a second socket on a double gang set-up, and of course very flush and very low sockets might struggle to use this - but in general it's a really good product, at a great price.

Seen these several times but cannot make use as already have loads of trailing extensions.

Also seen the same product on a market stall for £9.99 (he probably bought it from Home Bargains!)

got very similar ones from Morrisons, for the same price. The units are sturdy and solid enough, so they're not dangerous gazjon - well no more than any other adaptor. A key plus with them is that each socket has it's own switch, which for many at least will mean you'll keep your stuff plugged in which is a bonus.

A couple of issues though.
1. the unit hangs down below your main socket, so if you happen to plug this into one of a double socket then you may have an issue with the other socket from the double - hoping this makes sense! The issue depends on what kind of plug you use in that second socket as if it has a thick drop down cord it will not fit as it will be pushed out by this unit underneath.
2. The space between each socket on this adaptor is minimum, so again you will only get four plugs into it if your plugs are standard size.

However, I do not want to put anyone off these as we've got several in the house and we love them - in most circumstances they reduce clutter and make access to your switches much much easier than a standard trailing adaptor and are far less bulky than those block things you add to sockets.

Heat added!

I should mention separately that they are available at morrisons for £4.99 - very similar, just red leds only though. So hopefully this will help those who don't have one of these stores near them.

And there is a reason for that - this looks cheap & nasty. It actually resembles a toy.

I wouldnt use that if it was given to me for free - just doesnt look safe

No switches, so wastes electricity if you leave several items plugged in, but dont require them all on.

The Argos one on here last week was brilliant; hotukdeals.com/ite…sw/ That has 6 sockets.

For those that dont have a Home Bargain store nearby , i picked up a Belkin 4-way surgemaster from B+Q yesterday , with power switch , for £4.99 . was gonna post it as a deal but too busy ,

for those peeps saying you can get an extension lead for this and that price, this is not an extension lead. its an extension socket, totally different. Also just because its 4.99 and not 30 quid does not make it cheap and tacky like a toy, its actually well made and to BS Standard.

Fab price!!!! Heat added

[SIZE="2"]I have and use exactly this make and model and it is a solid bit of kit and I like it so much that I plan to buy a couple more to replace a couple of adapters.

As long as the socket you are plugging into is slightly proud of the wall and also, say, 10 cms above the skirting board, you should have no problems using this strip. Agreed, you might be a bit challenged with plug-in power supplies where the plug is part of the power supply but with most stuff, these work just fine. The separate neons and switches are a real bonus.

My advice is - If you can find them at this price, buy them.:thumbsup:

cheers for this, i think i'll get me a few heat added
