Don't these usually go for about £3 in places like Home Bargains?

If you do not have one, or have not seen one on the go, you would be surprised how fast they run, its 5V so you can also use it off a battery pack or smartphone as well

I bought a 4" usb fan for my work desk when we had the heatwave a while ago. I was amazed how well it worked. I am really pleased with the size and speed. Very HOT!
Surely the heat generated by the pc to run this outweighs the cooling effect of the fan!

I guess it depends on how you run them, I have a couple on an old i7 setup and they are just plugged into an old usb samsung charger, not this exact model, but run fine on an old toshiba laptop as well, no increase in cpu or load use either, when using the old usb port to power it by
they are rubbish
I'm a fan of this deal... where's my coat
I find these fans rather useless, mainly due to the lack of aerodynamic design on the blades, i.e. they don't flow the air as efficiently as it is supposed to.

They are not useless at all. Very useful actually. Mine sits on my desk and keeps me super cool. It's doing what it's supposed to do and doing it rather well. Happy days
these are great. i have 2 that are similar..one for work and one for my small bedroom

I have never seen these for £2 in poundland??? I have seen a £2 fan worth a quid in poundland, for a pound, but not like these metal fan ones, in there on Sunday, so will take a look see for fun!

I have seen them in my Poundland at the end of last summer, but never picked one up. Haven't seen one this year, yet, and selling for £8 on ebay. Or maybe ebay deal was from last year.ebay.co.uk/itm…ile
Put a bowl of ice in front of it.
£2.89 at CPC. This is overpriced.

Wouldn't be needed. The ice is needed to make iced coffee. Cool fan, cool coffee
£2.99 at Home Bargins. Got a better quality one from Wilko when it was for £2.50 though.

Airflow on these are pretty good. Quite loud though. Make sure you have enough juice as its coming off usb.

but is it plastic or metal?

Metal fan metal cage......plugged into usb socket......

Yep, if you had a 5 volt shock you would know about it. I once had a shock off a 3 volt battery, threw me across the room
Surprised this has been voted hot, exactly same brand and size always £2.99 in home bargains & yes metal blade...

Great find OP
I have this fan, for the size blows out a reasonable draft. The noise it makes isn't to loud and not as irritating as larger fans. In fact its like the noise my fans make in my PC. I'm guessing the electric motor used in it is of the same type.
Looks similar to ones Poundland have/had for £2 recently. Bought two of those, they're pretty good little fans and ideal for this heat - I've got them pointing at me now.

Yeah I bought a blue one yesterday for £2. Works great. A bit loud but I'd rather that than be sweaty
I use one of these kind of fans plugged into my PS3 & PS4...it helps to keep them cool on my bookshelf. Top Tip! Lol
£2 in Poundland
