Just saw it in the Telegraph. It's good to have a good umbrella

Windproof is impressive. I'd have only expected wind resistant at that price.

Aren't all umbrellas windproof - if you're pointing it into the wind and sheltering your face with it? I really don't get how this umbrella is any different, unless it creates some kind of magic anti-wind forcefield that protects you from head to foot!

There's a clue at the link...

Though the reviews at Amazon (same umbrella), are less than favourable!

I was just being facetious, they mean it doesn't turn inside out like a cheapo umbrella, here's the blurb:

Here's the umbrella that keeps its shape when all the rest are turning … Here's the umbrella that keeps its shape when all the rest are turning inside out - which means that even in the blusteriest conditions you stay dry and in control. The secret is a series of vents in the 94cm double canopy. While keeping rain out, these allow the wind to pass straight through with no resistance. Engineered for years of reliable protection, the exceptionally strong frame opens automatically at the touch of a button on the comfortable handle. Finished with a matching sleeve, it folds to a pocket/bag sized 38cm long. Special offer while stocks last: buy one and get any other colour FREE.

Contrary to the Amazon feedback, it's all favourable at this link... hard to decide 'weather' (sorry, I'll get me coat... 'get me coat'... 'rain', get it...? Sorry! ), this is a decent product or not...?

I bought a similar umbrella from an outdoors shop which was vented and supposedly windproof.

The vents only work to a certain degree, and actually seem to make it easier to turn inside out in some ways as it isn't a singular material braced against itself.

The good news is that because it's two layers it pops back very easily and doesn't get insta-knackered when inside out.

My wife bought two from daily mirror ,look the same .Absolute rubbish snapped ,frame work twisted ,our daughter had her kids one up at the same time with very little damage (slight bend on the ribbs)The second one lasted a further 10 days!

Feedback seems a little strange ,all the reviews are 4 or 5 stars ,a good percentage being Anonymous. With this many reviews ,even on a fantastic product you would see more 3,2 and 1 stars.

Wow this must be a fantastic site no negative reviews anywhere as far as I can see,on anything they sell .

Make up your own minds.
