This was one of my favourite games on the XBox 360 when it came out and just had to snap it up when I saw it this cheap.

£14.99 down to £3.74. Cheapest I could find it before was around £9.

Prototype 2 is also on offer separately at 75% off £19.99 down to £4.99
store.steampowered.com/app…20/

Or you can get the franchise pack that contains Prototype, Prototype 2 and Prototype 2 RADNET access pack (worth £6.99) for £8.74 down from £34.99 (at same link - this is what I bought).

Both games don't need high spec machines.

Run fine on my pc

Problem with Prototype is it doesn't work beyond Windows XP.
Never tried it in compatability mode nor would I know how to as it's launched through STEAM.

pcgamingwiki.com/wik…ype suggests the original game as many problems, but that most are fixable. The sequel, however, is reportedly quite broken (see pcgamingwiki.com/wik…e_2), especially on systems with AMD/ATI GPUs. Apparently, the second game never received any updates/fixes after release, as Activision canned the developers shortly after its release.

I've got the first game (from the Humble Store, as part of a sale that got me Deadpool fairly cheaply), but I can't bring myself to send Activision money for the second, even at these reduced prices.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago, specifically for Prototype 2 plus radnet. Game runs perfectly well - there were some initial issues with input/controller confusion but once you're round it the game runs wonderfully. (On windows 10 no less).

The greatest pleasure being splatting people into buildings.

Nice find op. been after #2 for a while, and would love to have #1 in my Steam library!

I got an old Lenovo Ts140 server Xeon E3-1225v3 with windows server 2016, 16gb ddr3 and a GTX 750 2GB.

Not the greatest spec for gaming. Haven't seen any issues so far though and I'm using the steam link on the TV (as you can tell I'm just a casual gamer!).

It is unfortunate that the developers shut up shop years ago so won't resolve issues people are having.

I liked this more than Assassin's Creed.

Just to add, Steam recommends a keyboard but if you have an xbox 360 controller connected, the game will recognise it and remap the keys to it.
