Great game, but the video in the OP isn't this game being sold. ASSETTO CORSA Competizione is the sequel to this @BuzzDuraband
Can anyone playing this on VR, recommend a good VR headset?
Ultimate Edition is also worth considering, currently £8.78 @ Fanatical with code: BLACK10

If you've already got a PSVR one kicking around you can use that. Been using the Ivry software on Steam and it works great for £12. AC also runs much better in VR than Project Cars 2 on a RX580 (then again it doesn't look as good). Add the Content Manager launcher and a few (or loads of!!) mods and you'll be amused for hours!

If you're into drifting there's a massive amount of add on content. In fact there's a massive amount of anything content.

I find Rfactor 2 (also runs well in VR) the better feeling experience but AC has it beat for content (not that Rfactor doesn't have enough now). If I want to have 'the' feeling though I go with Rfactor as the AI is also better imo, it doesn't do really stupid things and feels more like racing a human.

Wow thanks buddy, I do have a PSVR kicking around at home, I heard about Trinus, but not about Ivry so I will have a look into that, thank you very much for your help

From experience DON'T install Trinus. It never worked for me, I just got the red screen problem and loads of others have it seems. The problem is if you install Trinus you need a decent uninstaller that removes all traces or then Ivry won't work! The problem with Trinus is it may not work every time Steam updates but Ivry does. It's free to try anyway. The main problem I've had is drift in game but if you assign re-centre VR to a handy button on your wheel it's not big deal. With AC you assign look left and look right to the same button.

The only other problem with VR is I now want a better graphics card! Gone from being able to run maxxed out Project Cars 2 on a monitor to mostly low settings in VR. It's a real performance hit.

£8.34 at Steam for the Ultimate Edition.

£8.34 at Steam for the Ultimate Edition.

Indeed, good spot. Although it wasn't at time of posting.

Edit: I haven't calculated the overall discount, but potentially worth buying this deal then upgrading to Ultimate via Steam (£7.39 total?)

I actually thought off that but I think Steam adds an additional 50% discount which applies on the base game as well. So the base game costs roughly £2.

Not sure though, haven't checked yet.

Edit: Yeah I just checked, it's just cheaper to get the whole thing through Steam. Maybe someone can post it as a deal?

What happens if you go to the bundle / store page for Ultimate Edition, is the price below £8.34 as you already have the main game in your library?

Nope, same price... Reading also that I have to delete this version of the game to be able to buy/install ultimate lol

That's very strange, usually what you own is deducted from the bundle price.

Yeah unfortunately not in this case. I already own the base game too and it wouldn't let me buy Ultimate. I own a couple of DLCs too. Still, because they were all at such a great price I ended up just buying all the other DLCs instead, at a couple of quid extra.
