Yup knight/city/asylum and the lego batman games as well. This only really works as a deal for folks who didn't want to pick from Epic (I know there are still a fair few, as I meet them everytime I post an epic deal ).

That doesn't mean that it isn't worth 50 whole pence for (a lot of) people to play it without having to bother the the EGS.

You indicated confusion (presumably) at why people would pay for it here when it is obtainable free from the EGS.

You clearly know it is available free from the EGS, so that can't be what you are confused over. It isn't apparent what other issue you could be confused over.

Whether what you originally said equates to 'it isn't worth it' is up for interpretation...
I suppose the confusion could be regarding why somebody is posting this as a deal at a time when you can get the game for free.

It's a bit like someone posting a the current top Nintendo switch deal being available at a higher price because some people don't like Dixons Carphone. That would likely bring similar comments.

I paid over 30 quid when this came out, so I'd personally say it's worth it at 50p, but you never asked my opinion. You assumed otherwise I asked the question because I presumed maybe the whole series for free deal was potentially over, hence this deal being posted. You just confused yourself

Heat added.

There are many people enjoying it for no money down on epic, and that's great! Choice is a good thing.

I'm hesitant to install a program like epic which has been caught with it's hand in the cookie jar - you can find details of the corners of your computer epic has been found to probe on reddit. I'd rather pay the 50p.

Thanks for the deal

Why the confused smiley I basically agreed with everything that was said in the comment I.e. the game being surely worth 50p and is a deal for folks who doesn’t want to deal with epic.

I agree and that’s a fair point, the only reason for posting this is how many in the gaming community continue to be anti-epic, I know this for a fact coz every time there is an epic post there are fair few comments slating epic and how anti competition etc it is.
heat and ordered...thank you.

And I to be honest think people would rather save 50p and get more. Registration took me under 5mins
What's wrong with epic, I have seen alot of people moan about them and as I have only recently got a gaming laptop never heard what they done

The main arguments I've seen against them are:

- The store isn't as well-developed as Steam's (don't allow user reviews, lack community features, no basket, etc.)
- Some folks prefer to have all of their games in one launcher (and they want that place to be Steam)
- They've tied some games into timed-exclusive contracts meaning they aren't available on Steam for either 6 months or a year

There's been a few other ones I've heard like concerns about parent company, data protection concerns, etc. but I think those are the most common ones I've heard.

My own thoughts:

- I don't put too much stock in user reviews that much (too open to things like review-bombing)
- I don't mind having multiple launchers, especially with Epic giving free games (typically 2 free games every couple of weeks)
- Exclusives to drive users to a new store make sense from a business perspective (won't blame them for trying to be successful)
- They had a sale a few months back that took £10 off each game, which led to me buying some titles that I probably wouldn't have taken a chance on otherwise (Hades, John Wick Hex)
- I also like the idea they take a much smaller cut from developers than Steam do (12% as opposed to 30%)

I hope Epic continue to have success, I'll enjoy the free games and look forward to their next sale.

FYI, I have nothing against Steam, in fact I have a lot of games on Steam, just think competition isn't a bad thing, drives better prices for users (and hopefully improves both platforms in long run).

In my personal view especially with the freebies, not a lot, but hey thats just my personal opinion
epic game btw, the best one.
Could say Steam had no competition so got lazy and have their own set of problems.

What problem's steam got? Did i miss something?
I've voted hot, but yeah anyone whos still anti epic, your loss. Whilst i still haven't puchased anything on that store, the library of games i've got so far ain't too shabby!
