Welcome To Columbia!

The year is 1912.

With the United States emerging as a world power, the floating City of Columbia is a mighty symbol of American ideals, launched with great fanfare to the cheers of a captivated public. But what begins as an endeavour of hope soon turns to disaster, as the city disappears into the clouds, its whereabouts unknown. The greatest accomplishment in American history has vanished without a trace.

The player assumes the role of former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, sent to Columbia to rescue Elizabeth, a young woman imprisoned there since childhood. He will develop a relationship with Elizabeth, augmenting his abilities with hers so the pair may escape from a city that is literally falling from the sky. DeWitt will learn to fight foes in high-speed Sky-Line battles, engage in combat both indoors and amongst the clouds, and harness the power of dozens of new weapons and abilities.

I'll wait for it to be £3 or so. And it WILL get to that too. If it doesn't I don't buy it. Simple as that X)

And why do you think I care the remotest fraction what you think ? oO (puzzled)
I won't buy it until it comes down to a third of this.
Why on Earth do you think that was aimed at you ? And why do you think I should care ?

If you don't care what people think, why bother posting your thoughts? Just keep them to yourself and nobody will upset you by responding.

.................'scuse me....this has exactly WHAT to do with you ???
Funny - you can be talking with someone, and theres always someone will poke their over-large noses into something that has absolutely nothing to do with them and then take umbrage over their interference being given the treatment it deserves....:p
Might be a dumb question: I know that this is a "Steamplay" title and that you can maybe switch between mac and PC, so would this code (despite only mentioning PC) work for the Mac version too? Thanks!
Is this game really only worth £3?
Great, had a feeling this was coming. They were pimping it on Steam at full price for a couple of weeks, always a sign its about to go on offer somewhere.

Think it's either Steam OR Mac, not both
Certainly was the case when I asked about a game a few months back of Steam.
Worth a try though. Ask Steam

I estimate a 2 year wait at least barring any misprice. I can see where you're coming from though. If a game isn't worth playing years down the road, it was never worth playing it in the first place. A few greats come to mind: Civilization, Age of Empires, Starcraft, Half Life and Crysis (just to name a few) are good examples which stand the test of time. Most of them were made by huge gaming companies which won't really hurt from a minority of missed sales.

With this in mind, I implore you to consider supporting the smaller game studios or indie developers if you happen to get a great game from them. They need it much more than the huge studios.
Finally I've been waiting for this to be about this price again. Time to buy!
Hot! Wasn't really expecting much from this game but I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. I'd actually pay full price for this game. Can't beat a good FPS on PC with decent mouse keyboard control.

Philk, I'm not sure whether you simply don't understand the concept of a public forum, or whether you're just a bit special, but let's just leave it at that.

I don't think YOU do. The original poster took offence (why I don't know) at me saying I'll wait until the price goes to around £3.
With me so far ? Then you jumped into something that had nothing whatsoever to do with you.
On ANY forum, you'd get nothing but - at best - irritated annoyance
NOW - why don't you go someplace where your input is more tolerated ?
This has taken far more time than it's worth. And it's worth NOTHING
This is worth a lot more than £3! It's one of the best single-player shooters this year and more enjoyable than Bioshock 2 though not as enjoyable as the original. Tight fisted sods not prepared to pay what a game is worth have directly caused the dreadful freemium model that has ruined mobile gaming...

I never said it wasn't.
Do YOU want to bet it won't get down to £3-ish ?
I'll even give you a time. Within 6 months.
I reckon more likely there'll be a deal where you can pick it up for £3:50 or so in maybe 3 months if that Probably GreenMan Gaming.
The rest of your piece is just daft.
If you want to pay more - who's stopping you ?
Not many people have got an unlimited amount of money to throw away.
Prices go down when something isn't flavour of the month.
Theres a lot of things far more deserving of sympathy than boy game developers

Who is it exactly you work for? It's £8.16, cheapest at the moment, Good lord man, I simply posted a deal, It was to share.

Maybe it will hit your *delusional* price point sometime soon, But until then, put ya little party hat on, Pop your party popper, and for the hell of it, Try and break a small smile.

My my, who rattled your cage? If you want to see daft try critiquing your own posts in this thread.

Where did I say it wouldn't go down to £3?
If you're that hard up and it goes down to £3 in 6 months I'll buy you it myself, though I don't believe anyone with a PC capable of running Bioshock Infinite is unable to afford £8.16 for a game to play on it...
Who said anyone was stopping me paying more? I have already done so obviously!
Flavour of the month? It's a 6 month old blockbuster title for less than a tenner.

It's a good PC game, not some throwaway iOS crap.

It could have been yours, but you bought that crappy beard trimmer instead.

Easily game of the year and worth more than the asking price.
Their currency converter must be uncalibrated.
£8,19 = 16,99€ WTF???
Have some heat. Didnt think it was anything special myself and completed it then never bothered with it again. Other people seemed to love it though
In this thread: Phil's fantasy paranoia land
Ha, can't believe how little discussion on how great this game is there is in this post

I've literally just stopped playing this tonight in between a bit of Tomb Raider and Far Cry 3 and it really is on another level! I reckon I've played a couple hours of it so far and it's great - I paid a little over £10 just after release for a physical copy but this is still a nice price for a code. Expect this to feature in the Steam Winter sale, it's almost a dead cert I'd say

I would say greed did that. Some will wait for it to be a low price, some will buy it before it is even out. Different people, different circumstances and different views on games. The games industry saw how much money Zynga and facebook games were making, and possibly TF2 etc and saw dollar signs.

Nice to see you are so obsessed, you're following me.
Sadly I am not even slightly interested in you or whatever you get up to, or however much you wish to pay for anything
Why on earth do you think otherwise ?

Still don't get it I see. Tongue in cheek beyond you ?

Don't think Ive seen so much pomposity and pedestal lecturing for quite a while...
Look it's been amusing - but it's got tedious.

By the way - he was quite right about me and a beard trimmer.
I knackered my main one plugging the wrong charger into it...sparks. Looked the same, same shape etc. Ah well. A cheapie until Xmas when my wife will no doubt etc etc.
The point I made was - I haven't a clue what anybody buys. Couldn't care less.
I find it odd that anyone should be interested in what I buy.
A mild p*** take, nothing more. Don't take things so bloody serious.
Right. Have fun. Not interested enough to respond again. Better things to do, like stare at a wall X)

I bought a copy for £2.50 a few months back and when I put the code in it appeared in both the Mac and PC and Game Libraries. I don't know if this deal will though. The game version numbers are not in sync yet, so your Steam Cloud saves do not work from platform to platform. But if you only have a Mac this wont matter. I'd wait for the impending Steam sale if you're uncertain about coughing up.

I'd agree with this, although definitely think its worth a play through. At the very least it's a fresh setting that looks great and plays with competent game mechanics. Certainly don't regret pre-ordering it (although that might have something to do with all the freebies they threw out with the game. Think I played Xcom and Spec Ops longer!).
