Most UK retailers don't carry these and Game force you to buy a game or a top-up card with it.

This is the lowest price around by far I think.

I agree, it isn't particularly well designed though.

Seems to be £7.40 for postage, bringing it to £35.39 - might want to update the original post to reflect that
Voted hot regardless, seeing how you don't really have much other choice of where to buy one

You definite that is two controllers, rather than one Steam Link and one Steam Controller? I did try going back, but it doesn't seem to add two.

They're £35.27 each delivered.

It's outrageous they add £7.40 for each item for Post and Packing so that for the steam controller and the link it works out at £70.78.

Sorry I thought you meant buy one of each.

Might be worth re-posting at the revised price, still decent.

Still a good price spark.
Can you use steam wallet?

So much better than playstation tv. 1080p and 60fps. Love mine.

what's the battery like on these ? does it charge off USB like a PS4 pad or do you need actual batteries ?

Definitely! I've asked to get in re-instated! Nice spot Spark!

Comes with AA battery's that you remove the back plate and slide them into the hand grips. Can't remember if it was 2 or 4 batteries.

It's controller, controller link (blue tooth hub) that plugs into pc. I believe there's a USB cable to update the controller, might have plug and play style as well.

I used the controller for less than an hour, repacked and sold on. Got it a month before mass release and hated it, it's a large learning curve and I didn't want to deal with it.

my fs thread has a few small bits of information.

It comes with a tiny little dongle, that plugs into the use port on the pc directly.

Or if you're wanting the USB port on the desk. In the box is a USB to micro USB cable to a small USB stand that also comes in the box.

Box content;
controller
2x AA batteries
USB dongle
USB to micro cable
USB stand
2x manuals

U can use Steam wallet.
I preordered by buying Steam credit from Cdkeys and using that.
My Steam controller has never worked properly, drivers auto install....some do, some don't, there's several drivers.
I've never got it working.

Nearly ordered these before but that £7.40 delivery is crazy, unfortunately these don't seem to have appeared in any stores other than game who force bundles on you.... Annoying to say the least

that's a bit annoying, would have bought it of it wasn't aa batteries

Superb bit of kit, rocket league and dirt rally work flawlessly. Fallout 4 however is sketchy, not tried any others yet though.

Also the guy about batteries, buy the steam link and an Xbox One controller with battery pack if it bothers you that much.

Steam Link has treated me nicely.

How's the controller?

Anyone got a spare code?

Wait... what?

Game don't force you to buy anything if you get them instore.

You can buy them on their own from GAME. doesn't have to be part of a bundle

More sophisticated controller than these Xbox Elite toys at a 3rd of the cost. (_;)

Piggybacking the comments that say you don't have to buy a bundle. The Game I got mine from didn't show them separately, so I just asked, and they sold them to me on their own. I later went to another Game, though, that did advertise them on their own for £39.99 each.

How's the controller?

Cheap and nasty, I have one and have decided I'm better off using a wired XBox One controller. I'm also disappointed that there is too much lag with the Steam Link even with a wired connection to play Project Cars or FPS games.

Appalling controller. In every possible way.

Your kidding right, the Steam controller is horrible. Even a standard XBox 360 controller is better in games. The gimmicky pad on the right is just not as good as a proper joystick

I like it, but each to their own. A lot easier when you work out you can use community custom setups (like for Fallout 4 which as mentioned above is crap until you tweak it)

I bought the steam link from Game for £39.99, and then returned it the next day for a refund as it was terrible. Imo it's not fit for purpose. Heard the controller is good though.

whoever says it's not fit for purpose had it set up wrong. needs a gig network, not 100mb or wireless.

You can buy them in Game without a gift card, did so myself at Meadowhall branch.

Bought the link in Game store today for 39.99. Used it wirelessly on 30mb fibre, 3 hours on Fallout 4 with no issues whatsoever. Guess I'm just lucky (_;)

sounds like nvidia shield is still a better choice. it just work

Uh...double comment (now triple) It said it didn't post. Guess it was just as laggy as some peoples steam link (_;)

He has a point, I'm sure the steam controller has more parts to it than an elite controller, plus the development alone for the steam controller and yet it costs a third!

Will be going town tomorrow to hopefully pick one up in game! Don't mind spending another £5 to get it there and then.

I bought the steam link for £50 to link my main gaming pc (in my loft) to my bedroom TVs. The device is amazing! To get a decent performance out of it I need to use a wired network connection, however my house is already wired up in most rooms, so this is not an issue. I'd highly recommend getting both a game pad and the steam link as they work very well together.
