Steam sales starting very soon as well.
Belting deal!
good deal but the steam link itself is not that great. I have a gig wired home network and even on that any game that requires fast reflexes is a no go. the tiny tiny milisecond lag is very noticeable. good for the odd platform game or slow RPG. terrible for fps , racing. also has no team speak option.

ah I read it wrong, thought it was an extra 30 through the steam link not for the steam link!!!
DARN! my steam controller just turned up! would have probably gone for this over paying 7.50 postage. however I never seem to use steam credit, 9/10 time you can find games cheaper off steam
thought about this at one point, but steam decided to ban my account, with over 300 games on it
how is steam link? I'm guessing it's like the pstv right?

A full ban?
yep, apparently not allowed to trade accounts with friends. I had it for months before the ban was imposed, spent a good bit of money as well.
Both of us have pleaded to get it back, but nothing.

Yet, they are all over ebay.

Geez that's harsh yet you get people who get away with ruining multiplayer by hacking games for fun :-/
Thanks buzz was gonna order of steam the other day but the deal had just finished think i will bite with this even though im pretty sure i wont be any good with it :P
Wasn't the Steam Controller £27.99 this past weekend? It was the same price for the Steam Link too, so I guess this deal only trumps that price by giving £10 free Steam credit on the Steam Link.

how did they find out you were trading accounts?
random question but what advantages does the steam controller hold over my Xbox 360 pad? If it works with any steam game including original witcher or call of duty 4 without xpadder etc then I'll buy one in a shot... I prefer a gamepad

No, he means he buys them from elsewhere, i.e. Humble Bundle, GMG, CDKeys, etc.
I have the same problem - about £40 in my Steam wallet that I'm struggling to find anything to buy with because I always find things cheaper elsewhere, even when sales are on. I almost bought a Steam Link with it at the weekend but the hefty postage cost put me off, as it would be cheaper from eBay or better value to get this bundle from Game.

That's a shame to hear - I'm currently using a Raspberry Pi 2 to stream Steam games to my living room TV, which works great except for a little bit of lag - and considering the RPi was £20 and can do many other things it's much better value than a Steam Link. However I was considering getting a Steam Link just to eliminate that little bit of lag but if it's no better than my current solution I won't bother.
As for teamspeak - have you updated the firmware? USB passthrough was added a few months ago, so if your headset is USB plugging it into the Steam Link should now work as though you've plugged it directly into your PC in the other room. The feature is still a little buggy though, apparently, but once they've got it sorted Bluetooth support should follow as well.

Ah that's great then! For some reason I had it in my head the official Steam price for the controller and link included delivery. Pretty cracking deal then for those looking to pay full price for the controller!
Is this available in store? Looking to pick it up when I go shopping tomorrow.

Sarcasm is hard on the internet.

To be fair it is against the terms of service so they were going to stop you sooner or later. Denying you access to the games you've bought seems a bit harsh, though - did they not send you warnings before the ban?
And yes, people are stupid enough to sell accounts on eBay, and even stupider people buy them, but either those accounts are going to be banned as well sooner or later or the original owner is not going to keep accessing the account, which is presumably why they banned you - because one account was being logged into and games were being played from multiple locations simultaneously.
You could have given your friends access to your games using Steam Family Sharing (up to 5 users and 10 devices) but you wouldn't have been able to play games at the same time.

so your using a Nvidia card and is it limeight( ?!)

yeah I'm using one of those lenovo stick and a r9 290 in the same way. Shame limelight doesn't work on AMD, I have more the pi's than fray bentos.
I almost bought a Steam controller when they were on sale from Steam directly - BUT - Valve have announced they are remaking the controller. It's supposedly not going to be an extensive overhaul, but considering it keeps going on sale right now, that indicates to me that the new version may not be all that far away. I'm going to wait
I suspect a new steam controller on the way

Yes, except it's called Moonlight now (changed its name at some point), so it's technically nVidia GameStream rather than Steam streaming. It works really well - I was getting quite bad audio lag when I first tried it but it got fixed after a couple of updates. I have it set up as part of Recalbox, so the Pi loads to a menu with a list of emulators, or you can switch to Kodi or Moonlight, which launches Steam in Big Picture Mode from my desktop. It is a shame it's only for nVidia cards (and only certain ones - my laptop's 630M is just a couple of models too low to support ShadowPlay or GameStream) but I get so much use out of it that it's something that would make me stick with nVidia when I upgrade.

mine works just great wired or wireless best settings (beautiful i believe its called) even fps like cod i get no lag. i guess it depends on your connection or other variables im not aware of.
Definitely recommend this. No need to waste money building another gaming machine.

The quality of the picture is pretty much perfect and the lag is not noticeable.
Is this like a Steam console where you download the games and then play them?

RIP
its a good price for poor hardware.

The steam link is unreliable.

The steam controller okish, not great.

Personally I would buy a decent joypad like the ds4 or xbox 360 and a fire tv the next time it goes on sale or use a fire tv stick and install limelight ( if you have an nvidia card )

Guess this is a good option for the AMD card guys, but beware it will require allot of tinkering!

yes I completed fallout 4, assassins creed syndicate, rayman and a few other all on the link. you can tell it's laggy when you begin to soon the camera from one direction to another. it most certainly is not instant. yes I maybe being picky but the lag is noticeable. claiming there is 0 lag is false and if you expect 0 lag you will be disappointed.

games that do not require ms responses are indeed great on the link. rayman was a dream to play on the link.

I work as an I.T specialist so I know how to setup a network. it's all gig wired using cat 6.

I did try the remote USB for steam link but the driver was terrible on win 10 x64. buggy would have been too kind a description.
