Be prepared for the most impenetrable game ever. You'll spend more time watching tutorials on YouTube than you thought possible. And when you think you've got it, the AI does something to prove you've really not got a clue.

Good old bit or history revision love it when Baldwin the V calls the 27th crusade
Thanks Buzz.. Looking forward to all the tutorials Mikey_B.. Not..
One of my favourite games of all time. Heat!
Absolutely brilliant game although I think the layers of expansions have made it much more complicated and micromanagement heavy then it needed to be.

I hope this means CK3 is in the works!
Here's another good video that introduces the game quite well:
You can use any DLC the host owns during a multiplayer game so even if you will never buy the DLC get the game for free anyway.

This game is great. One of those time sink games that you turn on then notice the sun isn't up anymore.

Best 4 minutes I've had all day!
This game is amazing, so incredibly deep. It will take you a good afternoon to get the basics down, but stick with it.
    thanks

That video is satirical (if it wasn't obvious....)

I've logged over 1500 hours in CK2; it's most definitely a great game.
It's perhaps beyond the faculties of your average Joe, sure, but still great.

If you've ever been frustrated by the shallowness of the diplomactic systems of Civilization, or Total War, then you might come to love CK2.

I'm sure it is a great game. I'm also pretty sure I'll never play it. I've a fairly hefty backlog of games, and something like this wouldn't be high-priority.
Not only is this an excellent game but the Game of Thrones mod is one of the best mods for any game out there. At the massive price of 'free' what do you have to lose?
    Worth a try.
Now it's just a question of getting a bunch of dlc for a reasonable price!
I think game would turned me insane (again) but as it’s free; I have a strong urge to be tormented in the 9 depths of hell.
doesnt look like its free anymore ?
    it's not free anymore
    Too slow as usual
