Never ever played this game but always wanted to. At this price it is very tempting indeed.
Bought this last week when it was the same price. Fun I thought for the lockdown. 30 hours in and I feel like my life is draining away. It's worse than a drug. Gone back to playing Witcher 3.

So is that a good thing or a bad thing for you?

Go for it, but setup a second screen for the times when you're grinding up the Federatuin ranks so you can visit Earth! Ir that may be just me!!! I played this a bit on PC but it wasn't till I bought a copy for the kids xbox and set up a screen for netflix that I started to make progress!

I have a second monitor. This game looks so in depth in every aspect of it. I guess the grinding is the boring parts, hence the second monitor
Running it through Quest on Oculus Link.

Just beautiful.

It was good at first, but it seemed like I was spending 90% of my time "super cruising" and it's like watching paint dry.

Never been able to bring myself to Star Citizen. He's a fraud.

It does seem like a shady start up, however if you think about a few other games in permanent early access there isn’t much difference.

The screenshots I’ve seen of the game do look groundbreaking.

People sell themselves into things.

Do you really believe that at this point in time? The scepticism was valid a few years ago, but there's so much evidence to the contrary that it seems clear they're truly aiming for that finish-line, regardless of how ridiculously ambitious the project is.

Star Citizen is actually playable now with a persistent existence/universe so it saves your progress between new versions (although as still an alpha they can reset the servers). Some of the tech is amazing and the graphics are awesome. I payed in 2016 when Sqadron 42 was free with it. I’m more annoyed that ‘42 hasn’t released yet. Still probably a year away at least. When you think triple A games take 4-5 years to be built, and this has so much new tech they are developing it’s not really surprising. It doesn’t need a stupidly beefy PC any more either to get smooth frames. Love him or loathe him you have to admire Chris Robert’s vision for the game and no doubt he’s also making a pretty penny or two.

showing up as £19 for me ? expired ??
Yeah expired.

Game us dying. Galnet and all in game plot events scrapped such a shame. No more mystery or intrigue, no more interstellar initiatives, and rumour has it no update this year. just an empty universe of NPCs.
