Very poorly optimised. No widescreen support and an old game engine. …Very poorly optimised. No widescreen support and an old game engine. Poorest game of the series and need tons of mods. For that reason it has stayed in my steam collection unplayed. Sorry my friend had to vote cold it's not worth £5

That's a shame. Played flawlessly on my Xbox One. I guess the PC Master Race is no more.

Great price for a lot of game. Hot
Got this when it first came out, and still having fun messing about with it thanks to all the mods you can get

I thought it played fine on PC, I had it at launch too with my then R9 280x it was fine @ 1080p on high everything... I've not had chance to play any of the dlc yet though.

I think if you accept that they're never 'cutting edge' graphics because the gameplay and stories are so much more in depth than most other games then they're fantastic games!

I have a x34 predator monitor and it was visually rubbish. I used flawless widescreen that filled the screen but then the hud was out. Very poor...at tge time I had 6700k running at 4.7, 3200 ram and a 1080. Still the same with my strix oc 1080ti You do know this deal will go hot though lol

Displaying as £17.99 for me.

It runs fine - as everyone knows. You need loads of mods to play F3 and NV but not this one. Good job this is a deals site not a tech site and this is a good price - but then again Siberia is getting hot at his kind of money so who knows.

Flawless Widescreen plus a couple of mods available on the Nexus to sort out the HUD and a few other things and it's almost like Bethesda decided to support 21:9.

Eh? On launch it ran pants on Xbox One, huge frame drops. Far Harbour 6 months later was also a bit of a disaster on either console. The base game still has significant frame drops on PS4 and Xbox One to this very day. You need a Pro to iron most of them out, and it STILL doesn't manage 30FPS everywhere.

Generally speaking on PC you could power through it or tweak the settings. If all you want is 1080p, console settings and an actual solid 30FPS on PC you can achieve that on a toaster

If only that were the case, but sadly the story was mediocre at best, as were most of the quests.

Fallout 4 is well known for framerate drops in the Boston city parts of the map. Fast travel to Goodneighbour, turn around and leave through the door behind you and then wander round the area outside for 5 minutes and see what FPS you get (use Steam FPS overlay or Fraps). If you have shadow distance on anything above medium, you'll get FPS drops.

Having said that it'll still be above the 30 fps you get on console.

Excellent value , highly playable.....I still go back to it for a few hours at least every couple of weeks , I still have lots to explore and I have put in around 100 hours already !

I would vote hot only if someone can post all the DLC (or season pass) at a cheap price. I feel like being ripped off for buying it early at £20.

A lot of game for the money at a good price. Not as good as the previous Fallout games but still enjoyable. Sank a lot of hours into this. Never had any problems running it on PC myself and haven't felt the need to mod it.

Fallout 4 Season Pass - £18.99
Fallout 4 GOTY (Game + Season Pass) - £17.99

That's not how these things are supposed to be priced cdkeys

What a awful game! Picked this up brand new at Argos for 9.99 months ago and it's bloody awful now I know why it was so cheap

Always ran well for me on my GTX 960 i5 6400T and I play at 55K TV wgich is widescreen. Excellent game.

Got a GTX 1070 i5 6600 now. I know it's less relevant but just had to tell somebody :P

Nice setup. I am still rocking x34a with i5 3570k and MSI GAMING X 1080. Swaps?

Oh, so you mean it has no ultra widescreen support, not no widescreen support. I mean of course it has widescreen support - it came out in 2015, not 1995!
It's a shame it doesn't officially support ultra wide resolutions - can't believe they havne't fixed that in 2 years - but I've seen people doing it with mods and the HUD looks fine so maybe a little more tweaking is required.
Also, I had no problems with optimisation on launch and if anything it's even better now - and my spec is nowhere near yours (2600k OC to 4.8ghz with a GTX 780), Rarely drops below 60fps even at 1440p on ultra.

People who cry here need to sort their systems out. Honestly, first time I played this was on old Dell Optiplex 380 with LGA 771 mod to LGA 775, with Xeon E5450 at stock speed 8GB RAM 128GB SSD and GTX 750ti and on 1080p (high textures and rest on medium) I was getting 60 FPS easy. Whole system was sub £200
Now playing on i7 3770 with 256GB SSD and RX 480 I can crank up everything on ultra and still play on 60+ FPS on 1080p. Much better experience but more costly.
It is a good game and well worth the money.

I'm still amazed at 4.8 on a 2600k you must have a great chip. In reply I just can't be bothered with it. Too many games out without this hassle. Origins and Wolfenstein this week....I was in nexus and all the mod forums when fallout 4 was released but just hot fed up with it. Haven't even played witcher 3, honor or many other games that I buy. I cut back the last 6 months and investing in my car instead

Yeah, me too. They're really good for overclocking - that's the main reason I bought it. You'll get 4.4-4.8ghz out of most of them easily, even with an average cooler. Some people have got them running stably at 5ghz or more, but you might have to be lucky enough to get one from a good batch for that. It's the reason I haven't upgraded for 5 years, although I'm starting to consider it now.

It's a beautiful game, I don't know why you guys criticise so much, I enjoy it, and haven't yet started the last primary mission 'cause I don't want to finish it yet.

2 hrs in and sold it on ebay. what a pile of steamy crap! colddddddddddddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
