Steam Halloween Sale

78
Found 26th Oct 2017
Perhaps the most unexciting Steam sale yet, but there are still some decent deals here... mostly of the "in case you missed it last time" variant.

Will update with more decent deals as I spot them.

Steam is a little laggy at the moment as usual with these sales.

7 Days to Die - £7.21 (-62%)
Amnesia Collection £2.69 (-90%)
Carmageddon: Max Damage - £6.49 (-50%)
Darkest Dungeon - £7.59 (-60%) - or £16.97 with all the extra content (-53%)
FNAF Franchise Bundle - £5.23 (-80%)
Grim Dawn - £6.79 (-66%)
Inside - £7.49 (-50%)
Resident Evil 7 - £19.99 (-50%)
Soma - £5.74 (-75%)
Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma - £17.99 (-40%)

I spent hundred quid on the last sale think ive played opening scene of tomb raider out of all of them
Sale? Everything looks more then CDKeys normal prices
I blame myself for Steam sales being crap. I knew they'd stop being good once I finally bought myself a gaming PC two years ago.

Curious to see the standout deals, as to me it's the worst steam sale I can remember. I know it's personal preference, and maybe I've already bought the stuff that is considered the best deals, but it looks like pretty poor discounts all round. Steam sales have gotten noticeably worse since they did away with flash and daily deals.

Yeah it's fairly underwhelming. I added a few, but most of them are either not 1st time at that price, or can be had cheaper on CDkeys. Of course, it's worth noting that Steam is legit while CDkeys is a grey key seller, but in the end it's the same game on Steam, so people don't care too much.
Steam sales have been irrelevant since the changed the format a cpl of years ago to not have different games on sale each day and then region locked gifting. Used to be great when you could get games from russia for like 10% of the uk sale price.
Steam sales haven't been very good for a couple of years now. Heat for the effort though.
I spent so much in the last sale. I then bought an additional harddrive and downloaded and installed all the games.

I ended up playing Zelda on the switch.

Haha, same here. I recently bought Witcher 3 GOTY on Steam, but I will just play Mario Odyssey now and who knows when I will touch that.

Seriously though, thanks for posting. Heated.
I was quite interested in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines until i read "this game is broken and will not function on most modern machines". Shame. Some good deals there though, Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide is a steal at that price.

Looks like the game still gets patched unofficially - unbelievable what a community can do really... forums.planetvampire.com/blo…p37

Will likely happen in the Xmas sale.
Kerbal Space Program is 40% off (down to £17.99). Guess it's time I finally tried it.
    Currently disappointed, didn't see anything.

Nice. I stopped myself from grabbing the Witcher 3 goty on PSN for £14, as my backlog goes back to the 16 bit days.

I will one day get it, but for now I'll wait.
Planet Coaster at £16.99 is the highlight so far..
I don't think it's that small a sale, lots of my Wishlist have 'lit up'
    Hotline Miami (£1.74) (1+2 are £3.74)
    Magicka (£1.99)
    Castle Crashers (£1.99)
    Battleblock Theater (£2.19)
    Bastion (£2.74)
    Undertale (£3.49)
    Transistor (£3.74)
    Overcooked (£4.41)
    Rock of Ages 2 (£9.89)
    Pyre (£10.49)

No meta thing this time round for free cards/badges? I can't see one...

    my steamback log is:

    steamleft.com/spa…362

    4728 continuous hours
    197 days,8 minutes
Surely either of these are good deals

    Dead by dawn £7.49
    Friday 13th £14.99
    Damn, can't see any must-haves.

Steam Sales used to make me feel like I was losing money by not buying them (as stupid as that sounds!)
Soma is less than £6. Been on my wishlist for an age so finally picked that up. Dying Light is also tempting...

Grim Dawn is also super cheap.

I play it and have a modern machine, works fine, also cohhcarnage on twitch streamed it not too long ago and he has a beastly rig and also worked fine.

It's a great game way ahead of its time, would love a follow up.

you really need to start buying humblebundle and the like. read through that list and realised I had most of them and they came from some bundle or other

I missed the appropriate bundles, precisely targetted catch-up bundles needed!
These sale prices are still more than CDKeys. Resi 7 is £14.99 over there now and was even cheaper last week.

I think the RRP of £39.99 or even £49.99 these days means that a 50% discount still feels steep.

When I was a lad, it was £29.99 and a 10% discount for pre ordering, and that was pretty much every major title on steam.
Steam-ing pile of crap. Games are mediocre and if you did want to buy them, you’d head over to CDkeys like any sane person would

Dead Space 1 and 2 £2.49 each (£4.98 for both).

Or the pair in the Dead Space Pack for £5.59
