Halo CE was crashing ALOT but I've figured out a fix for it and so far it's holding up well, just completed the first level with a mix or OG graphics and Anniversary graphics with no problems and a steady 60fps.
What I did I forced Proton 6.3-8, previously was set to Proton 7.0-5 which the crashes occured on, obviously make sure when you load up the game you choose Anti-Cheat disabled:
Halo 2 Anniversary works with this version of Proton too:

HALO2 - upgraded
HALO3 - untouched!
HALO4 - untouched
The multiplayer holds up extremely well but can be "unplayable" at times. There is no such thing as a causal player with these older halo games lol
Co-op is fine.
