I bought one of these a few months ago for £10 more and it works great with a pair of homeplugs. Actually mine worked ok over wi-fi even for multiplayer games with no lag (bt infinity). Use an xbox one controller wired woth it and it works great as well. This wont be for everyone but for me it does work really well and i like to be able to fire up the pc and play it on the big screen when son is in bed.

1080p resolution at 60 FPS
Wired 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet and Wireless 802.11ac 2x2 (MIMO) networking abilities

HDMI out
Supports Steam Controller (sold separately,) Xbox One or 360 Wired Controller, Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows, Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710, or keyboard and mouse

A TV or display capable of running at 720p or 1080p resolution

I think the P&P charges are around £8.
amazing piece of kit. I use mine to stream desktop apps too. not a deal though, that's just how much it costs.

edited to add P&P , thanks mate still £10 cheaper than when i bought it , i just forgot the P&P. Im still surprised how well it works if im honest after i was told i would be even more rubbish at multiplayer etc (if thats possble)due to lag that was sure to happen.

actually i just checked and you are correct , £39.99 + £7.40 is what i paid when i got it. oh well didnt see. Guess it may help someone anyway and if you have a gaming pc already this is an excellent piece of kit for another room
£39.99 at GAME instore. I've bought 2 they're awesome!
What are these like for fast moving games like Project Cars? I use homeplugs for network to the TV and get low pings in games. I'm concerned about lag?

Did you buy them in the last 6 months? I only ask as I was gonna buy one in Brum but they said you have to buy it with the controller now, which I thought was a crock o s**t so didn't bother.

Yeah both of them, also saw them advertised at £39.99 still in store last week too.
Though I think the Steam link is a great product, I don't think this is an offer, as I don't remember it being any price other than this in the Steam store. In fact it's actually more expensive than I thought as I didn't realise they charged for delivery...

You would think they would do a bundle with the controller where you can save money buying both together, would seem a logical way of them shifting double the hardware but they don't seem bothered for some reason....
I use a pc at the moment for steam in home streaming is there any difference?
I would wait for the sale (Supposed 23rd), theres bound to be a game bundled with it. Rocket League & Portal 2 and discounts have applied to various games when buying at the same time. Wont hurt to wait at few weeks when this is RRP price.
