This is (besides Beat Saber) the best game on VR by miles. This is a steal at twice the price IMO

I don't think I've ever seen Beat Saber on sale (if I'm wrong I'd appreciate a link)

It is an amazing game and a great one to dive in, even for those new to VR. But "best game on VR by miles" is not true. At the time of release you could argue it was the best, but there are many vastly better games now in my opinion but certainly it's not best by miles.

Not looking to put you down, just think people should be aware, particularly recently, there has been lots of amazing games released since this. As an example, whilst Beat Saber wins as being an amazing experience for the wider audience, I think Pistol Whip is a better game in a similar genre. In terms of best game overall, even the older games such as Lone echo or the multiplayer varients are better imho, but the recent Asgards Wrath is so far above every other VR game at moment for me and it's not even typically my genre.

It's all subjective. Superhot is one of the very few games that I've completed, Lone echo didn't do a lot for me.
Pistol Whip looks good so I've added that to my wishlist
Wish this was the Quest version!
Completed the normal game, and trying out the demo in VR, though it's basically the same game, the difference playing it in 3D is just amazing.
Make sure you have SPACE! This includes not having a light bulb/ceiling rose/lamp shade dangling down above your head.... you will try to rip it off the ceiling at some point! Haha. Also don't play close to your TV mounted on the wall, you might put your controller through the front of it.... Disclaimer I have only done in a celing rose

You are of course welcome to your opinion. Beat Saber sold >1million copies as of March this year. The content remains fresh and community is highly active in delivering extras beyond the standard game. No other VR game has attained that level of traction and engagement with the gaming community.

I agree, Lone Echo is stunning, incredible even. Nevertheless, it's still not available officially on Vive, it's platform locked unless you're willing to reVive. That limits the appeal. Once I finished it, I had no compulsion to replay. I don't doubt the same will be true of LE2 - fantastic on the first run through, then "meh". By contrast, BS draws me back time and time again. Superhot does too, to some lesser extent, because of the various twists and variations on the same theme.

IMO VR isn't about hours in front of a screen - not least as it isn't always comfortable. You want quick immersion, a fun novel experience, and the ability to walk away once you're feeling discomfort / fatigue.

Rubbery-covers on your controllers can also help, as your ninja-star throwing scrapes a lovely dark line along the length of your wall in real-life

Bundle offers on steam are the way to go - as mentioned elsewhere, don't recall seeing it on offer ever, but you can save when you get a bundle with DLC. I'm generally anti-DLC, but when there's a new pack out for BS, I'm along the lines of TAKE MY MONEY!
