It's a good, if some what ageing, game. Not tried the expansions for it, though I did hear mention of bugs in them. Grim Dawn is also on sale and is another game well worth checking out IMHO. Slightly more expensive, but it is newer.

Only warning, if TQ:AE is like Grim Dawn, you CANNOT play with friends if you have an expansion and they don't. It's a major flaw for grim dawn and I'd imagine it'll also be that way in TQ but I don't know.
This game got me into action RPG's and it's very good, especially for the time it came out. But, and it's a big but, it's very repetitive. Essentially there are only a handful of different types of enemies, they attack in the same way and are just graphically re-skinned for the different environments you work though. There's a lot of grinding. A lot.

Graphically (again for the age, but also with the remaster in this version) it's all great and all the favourites of the genre are here (traders, expandable sacks, the lure of gaining complete sets of kit, skill trees, multi classing, crafting).

Grim Dawn is done by vetereans of the same team and has completely resolved any issues along with being better looking and more "polished" as a modern game. Currently £6 in the sale.

The Incredible adventures of Van Helsing is also a better modern game and is an unbelievable 1.09. Two/Three and the Final Cut are meh but if you like ARPG's they scratch an itch.

If you like the tower defence interludes in Van Helsing, DeathTrap is an accomplished example (£1.50).

And as I'm on a roll Defense Grid is THE tower defense game (£3.38 in the Tower Defense Bundle) which comes with a bunch of other games (it's £6.99 by itself).
