I said cdkeys, not g2a.

Also, free games on epic are financially compensated for by epic. That’s how they can do it.

Get off your high horse.
Good deal but I honestly never buy anything directly on steam anymore. It’s always cheaper on cdkeys or free on the epic store

It's a wrong point of view though. CD keys are a grey market seller. They sell keys intended for other, cheaper, markets. Like CD Wow used to do with CD's. The developers are getting *less* money, rather than none. But whilst you may morally object to this - being able to buy a digital item from any other EU country is a legal right you have.

This differs from G2A which which is an ebay style marketplace and will generally be selling review copies or bundle keys (or sometimes, as you say games bought with stolen credit cards) Devs will generally get nothing for this.

There was an incident with CD Keys and Sniper Elite 3 keys begin revoked which may be what you are alluding to? But the same issue affected authorised retailers such as GMG. Both stores refunded you.

Yep, did exactly this with the upcoming sale in mind. Yet more games to add to my Steam library that I will never actually play but hey ho
Nice - ordered.

Sounds like a plan. When is the steam sale?
Works out 12.6% discount. Very rare to get that much off a Steam card!
You can apparently add multiple too and it works, added 2 and it came to £87.40 saving £13

Better still, buy on grey sites

No thank you. Would rather support developers, and also working for an authorized retailer means I can get most games anyway

cdkeys sell plenty of dodgy keys and I have no issue with Epic freebies, they are great for consumers. Great deal. I've ourchased one to use for the hopefully upcming sale.

I assumed it was a digital code, however after buying i'm guessing its actually a physical one. Does anyone know for certain?

Fair enough. I've heard a lot of accusations made against cdkeys on hukd but never any proof/source - sites like G2A reek of "dodgy" from the get go, though!

Like others on here, I've sank £1,000s over the years on games across Steam, PSN etc so I don't have any issue saving a few quid here and there using cdkeys.

Yeah I am not having a pop at anyone who buys from these places because they genuinely need to save a few quid and its a game they otherwise wouldn't even buy. My point is more about ONLY using these sites rather than stumping a few quid extra for those particular games by developers that you really enjoy.

It works both ways I suppose, my favourite game of all time is Starcraft 2 and I have given Blizzard a crap tonne of cash for the 3 iterations of the game, plus a lot more on in game content to support the game. And Blizzard are an absolute crap show these days since Activision took over so I am torn between supporting my all time favourite game and givingan absolutely horrid company yet more money.

Screw it I am converted Ill pirate the next Activision/Blizzard game! Itll probably be some god awful Diablo play to win thing on a phone anyway!

Cd keys don't sell stolen ya donkey.
Is there an expiration on the credit once it's in your steam account, does anybody know? Nothing immediate on my radar but that's a nice discount for future use. Thanks!
Hate Currys but love a discount (as long as they have nothing to actually do with the item) thanks OP

You can just buy CS GO case keys and resell them on the steam market. I profit around 30% that way.
Hot stuff, especially with the impending Steam sales

CDkeys isn't a grey market like G2A, no third party sellers. They get bulk orders with publishers or sell keys from old physical stock. Often your key will be a scan from a box / manual of a physical copy that never sold.
Very good deal- Delivery due just before the Steam summer sale = Perfect!! Heat added OP!

Cdkeys.com is not an authorised key reseller, hence they are grey-market. Simple.

Since they're grey market, it is not known exactly where they get their keys from and they don't say where, though it's likely that the keys they sell are those meant for cheaper regions etc. rather than stolen and fraudulently acquired keys.
Genuine question as a Mac owner could I use Bootcamp or VM to load Steam?
