Please mind that the casserole dish is only 20cm. I too have a hand me down from grand parents lol. They gave me a baking dish 15 yrs ago. Still going strong, slight discoloration on the inside but the outside is perfect. They really are worth the money.
Thanks OP - been looking for a Le Creuset casserole for a while, to augment our old one - I still use my Grandma's one from the 1950s, they're literally indestructible!
I have a black one and the cleaning is so easy even If you have been baking a stew in in for hours and hours it’s literally into the washing up bowl and wipes off no problem, they are awesome for cooking steaks due to the way the cast iron holds the heat in
I was going to order the cerise but eventually went for the satin black version as thought the colour more neutral but has anyone tried similar with that finish? Is it pretty much the same in use/cleaning etc? Tried googling and saw a few comments along the lines of better at coping with direct heat contact.
