Fab price for the review it gets and what it does and it's purple like a Ribena berry too!
Currys cheapest iron is £7.99 and thats a 1200w one - this is 2000w with steam shot too! Great for starting out - what people used to call their "bottom drawer" or off to uni - they will probably use it for pop tarts or paninis rather than ironing but at least they have one for emergencies!

The Steamworks 2000W Steam Iron has all features you need, including anti-drip to avoid straining, anti-scale to prevent from limescale build-up and a stainless steel soleplate. The indicator lets you know when the temperature is ready and it comes complete with a water refill beaker.

The 2000w steam iron has all the functions you need, including anti-drip, anti-scale, verticalsteam and stainless soleplate.

  • 2000 watts.
  • Steam output: 20g/min.
  • Shot of steam: 65g/min.
  • Capacity of water tank: 270ml.
  • Anti-scale for hassle free maintenance.
  • Anti-drip system to protect your clothes from water spillages.
  • Stainless steel soleplate with button groove.
  • Variable steam function allows you to adjust the humidity, direction and power of the steam flow.
  • Vertical steam function allows you to use the iron like a steamer and remove creases from hanging garments or curtains with ease.
  • A steam tip makes it easy to steam creases from difficult to reach areas.
  • Creasing feature.

  • 1.9m power cord with .
  • Includes: water beaker.
  • Temperature ready indicator.
  • Weight: 1.2kg.

I would certainly want to know if an item has a poor track record, it affects my purchasing decisions.

Buy a travel iron for your holidays as it is small and compact (ours has lasted for year), this iron is too bulky and he will more than likely leave it behind than have the hassle bring it back!

I agree, but don't shoot the messenger.
Bought this at a mere £3 (deal on here many moons ago) paid for 3yrs cover too... But, never needed to cash in on it as still going very strong. Don't let the cheap price fool you; it does the job perfectly. I use it for everyday ironing as have a steam generator for the big jobs)

But you need a decent size- and we booked with Jet2 so plenty space
Use this daily it’s a good iron for the price!
Is the price reduced?
Or is its continuous price?

It was £7.99 on offer in February and says this is the lowest ever price but appears in the clearance section so your guess is as good as mine!
I had this iron for absolutely ages! Only just given up. Already bought a new but might get one as a spare

£6.99 is more than cheap enough, lol, but you did very well to get it for even cheaper!, at only £3?, hehehehe.

I take it that whatever method you used at the time to secure such a lowwwwww price, doesn't exist again right?, or ... lol.
U get what u paid for. Always used to buy cheap irons. Leaked all over after a while. Now only buy Philips azure or tefal, last 10 years and glide thru clothes. These kind of irons u will end up buying 5 to last same as the more expensive ones. false economy
Wow I’ve had this same iron for about 5yrs at least. I’m sure I paid £40+ back then!
Don't need one. But heat for the price.
Fab!
Worst Iron. Dont bother buying it. It leaks

As I’ve said before, it’s got a guarantee with it, if you bought from Argos your receipts are on your online account. Take it back and get a new one or refund as all the other reviews say it’s great - must be a fault with yours. Argos are usually really good with returns too

Sounds like a leaking tap
Steamworks? Surely an Ironing Simulator
Thanks OP, just ordered one for the wife's birthday present, plus enough change from the tenner for me to celebrate with a pint.
I have one of these and it's been working perfectly for three years. Silly as it sounds it has a decent length of flex on it which helps.
. My previous iron which was far more expensive had a 1 meter flex
Travel irons are generally terrible. I always buy a cheap full iron to take on holiday and then have the option to leave it behind if I run out of suitcase room. I've purchased this one before for around this price and does it job fine for a holiday.

You must have a lot of storage, if you are going to buy an iron for spare.
