Ok, let’s get straight down to it, the Steel Series Apex [Raw] keyboard is an Enthusiasts Keyboard aimed squarely at gamers. The Apex boasts aesthetics factors like backlit keys (oh yes please), more raised macro’s than you can shake a very long stick at and voilà, behold - low profile keys designed for quick gaming reflexes. If you don’t know what low profile membrane switched keys are then the Apex Raw is overkill.
However if you are searching for a keyboard that bristles with cutting edge gaming technology and makes ordinary keyboards look like it’s been on steroids then stand back and watch the Apex Raw pump Iron.
The attention to detail that Steel Series have put into the build can clearly be seen. The keyboard has a pleasing slant towards the player and a reassuring weight to it. The keys are ample size to avoid accidental multi key presses (keyboards with small keys can switch weapons when you’re just about to fire). This has been road tested to ensure sizing and the accuracy of key travel create an experience which the pro gamer will want.
If there is a downside to this keyboard then it has to be the plastic construction. It would have been nice to see a more solid metal casing with no flexing but at this price point you are unlikely to find one. The curved ends and chunky space bar all compliment the design. So minor whinges apart, what’s it like when angered? Awesome, rapid responses, comfortable hand positioning, 8 levels of illumination, Windows key disabling, Anti-ghosting and 17 Macro keys.

You can get the blue special edition on ebay for £40.
I paid £48 for my siberia v2 from ASDA. The mic was pretty bad and stopped working randomly. Taking this thing back!

But speaking seriously here, who would pay this much for a mouse, keyboard and headset?!?! Some people have a LOT of money to waste...
Personally I wouldn't but this might be a deal for others
Either way, voted hot from me
Eh, got my CiT kB and mouse for 5.24+p&p and I'm happy with that haha. Don't need more than the given 800dpi though, which could be a problem for others I suppose...
Reading my comment back, it looked like a trolling attempt. I am serious, but... Idk, suit yourself!
