Purchased these During Black friday £29.99 Argos, very good for console’s at this price, They are a very Balanced Sound with enough Clarity and bass, Loud enough on PS4 (almost full volume albeit) but Great on all 3 Xbox one x (Dolby Atmos), Nintendo switch.
All via 3.5mm
Purely for console and using only 3.5mm to the pad or Switch, They are better than Sennheiser Game one, and Hyper x Cloud alpha, as they can get loud enough,
Game one’s at £110 & Clouds £80 just didnt quite cut it.
The Steelseries Pro Wireless at around £230 For the Flagship Headset, must be truly superb, as they have clearer and better Driver’s and able to EQ the sound with the included Box with Oled Display.
Buy with confidence at around £30

Not sure this is the All-Platform version, doesn't mention PC.

Yes, that's the All-Platform version from Amazon. The Argos deal doesn't say it is the All-Platform version, or mention PC, so it may be the Console Edition. That obviously makes no difference if you're using it on a console, but does if you are looking to use it on a PC (the cable you need isn't included).

EDIT: searching Google with the EAN listed on Argos brings up search results showing the Console Edition.

Thanks for noticing, will amend it
For PC use you need " 3.5mm Female to 2 Male Headphone Headset Microphone Y Splitter Audio Adapter Cable"

I bought a pair of these in the past, lasted about a month before they broke. I exchanged these for another and they had the same fault. Shame because they sounded great when they worked and very comfortable.
This is a good wired headset for Console but don't buy it for PC, even the all platform edition. Get the Series 5 at a minimum.
I got these in the Black Friday sale, £30 each. They’re class and work on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. My little bro’s are ungrateful so and so’s and they absolutely love them so that goes a long way to anyone who may be interested.
Had mine over 2yrs and still work fine, you can get extra headbands and earpieces if you need to as well.
I'm looking for some headphones that
- cover the ears, to keep out background noise
- don't bleed sound too much. I would be using them in an office
- would be comfortable being worn for a lot of the day

Would anyone recommend them for this?

They defo keep out background noise and are extremely comfortable and ive got quite a large head.

Would these work on pc if connected to Xbox one controller?
Is the mic removable?

It's retractable, you can see it on the Argos web page picture
Hoping Amazon match or nearly match.
Oos in my surrounding Argos'
No stock anywhere local 😔
Got a pair of these last Christmas as a gift. Love ‘em. Still going strong.
I also brought these in the black Friday even and although they are good if you have a small head you will struggle as they only tighten via a head band and the sides do not adjust up and down
Just picked mine up
- Audio, seems fine to me (I'm not a good guide, as long as it's not bad I'm happy)
- Sound bleed. I covered the sides with my hands and it wasn't too bad, nothing I'd complain about. My last pair were much worse

Comfort level. Amazing, best headphones I've ever had for that. Its like having a pillow your head :-) B.t.w. I'm guessing my head is large as they were fine for me

Next up the office test, but I tried clapping in the house to simulate background noise and it seemed to keep enough of it out. NB noise reducing headphones are useless for me as I want to keep voices out, I'm fine with the other background noises

Shame, good reputation for console but OOS everywhere
I have the Arctis Pro Wireless which is the same basic design as these except the frame material which on these is plastic. The comfort on these headphones is phenomenal and they can be worn for many hours without feeling like they're clamping too hard on your head or your ears getting hot from leather/PVC cushions.

Can't comment on the sound quality as these will invariably use different drivers from the ones in my headphones however I have had two other sets of SteelSeries headphones in the past (Siberia 100 and Siberia 800 wireless). and they have always been good value for money with crisp sound reproduction as they are geared more towards clarity than sound accuracy, good for games, decent for music and film.

The cushions and headbands are easily replaceable and cheap from the SteelSeries store if you ever need a replacement and the warranty service they offer is excellent. HOT!
Got these last year and they’re great for the money

It is if you buy a splitter wire, I've got the older one best headset ever.
I've reserved 2 of these in the Port Talbot store if anyone wants them, I was going to get them for the kids, but read quite a few reviews online complaining they are no good on smaller heads, so if anyone wants the reservation number just message me.

I own this and the Series 7, but I use the Series 3 primarily for the Xbox One and the 7 for PC.

The Series 3 doesn't support any surround sound technology for PC apart from Windows Sonic which most games don't support (on Windows at least). The Series 5 is the same as the Series 7 bar it not being wireless.

The Series 3 is also doesn't support USB, it just plugs into the phono ports and therefore doesn't support any digital based surround sound and rather just does left and right.

The Series 5 and 7 has DTS: X2 which a lot of major PC games support, I personally use it on Rainbow Six Siege and it's great.

I've seen the Series 7 for £99 today so I bet the 5 can be had for £50 ish. The added value will be worth it if you are a PC gamer.

Better yet get a nice set of headphones and a mic, but yeah good deal.
I've got these. Paid £59 a few months ago. Worth every penny.

Totally agree. I use a pair of senheiser 598s with mic in cable. Much better than any 'gaming' headset
Bought a pair before Christmas at 29.99 for son 1, son 2 wants a pair now
Thanks, reserved a pair.
had to go and pick some up at that price.
