SteelSeries Gaming Bundle - £49.97 Reserve & Collect @ PC World

50
Found 17th Feb 2015
PC World currently have £30 off the "SteelSeries eSport Champions Gaming Gear Collection"

Reserve & Collect only so could be a goose chase for some but it looks like there is still stock in many of my local stores.

If you can get over the stupid name for the bundle, it seems a bargain to me considering you'll get:

1 x Rival Optical Mouse
1 x Siberia V2 Headset
1 x Qck+ Mouse Surface

Sold separately they're worth over £100 and the bundle is still £109.85 on Amazon.

Couple of stores local to me which are listed as having stock:

Croydon
Crawley
Brighton
Guilford

Hopefully it will help someone.

Good price for the brilliant headset alone, along with a mouse and mat (cant comment on their performance) - nice find OP!

In the age where mice and 'gaming' headsets cost upwards of £60 each, especially if they're branded, then this is a pretty good deal. I've heard decent things about the mouse, can't comment on the rest.

Seems like a very reasonably priced bundle all told. Hot from meeee!

Was just thinking this. Absurd prices these days. Would much prefer a decent set of headphones with a clip on mic to a 'Gaming' headset. When I made the switch it was as if I'd been listening to my music/games through a piece of carpet. Went from a Siberia V1 to a pair of Beyerdynamic Dt770s.

Very very good mouse, one of the best available in fact. Great package for the price.

I just looked up prices after reading this and damn thats crazy.
I paid around £40 for my G5 (rev 2) 7 years ago. Which is still going strong, I did RMA it at around 2 years, but apart from new pads and a tweaked button (the metal got fatigued after 5 years of use) nothing else has changed.

Crazy to think the tech hasn't really changed or advanced much yet the prices have increased 50% or more.

cracking bundle, i love my v2 headset - sound is pretty reasonable but most importantly they're super comfy which if you plan to go to a lan or play for prolonged periods is one of the number one factors imo. Especially if you wear glasses.

I'd note i paid about £30 for mine though rather than the £70 they typically rrp for.

incidentally is it the usb or 3.5mm headset?

According to the overview it should be the 3.5mm:

none near me (northampton). closest is leicester.

i have the headset and paid 30. a good deal imo for this set. heat added.

Paid £40 for the mouse a few weeks ago, very happy with it so this is a great deal imo.

Heat for the find. Good deal for a combo like this.

The only thing about the headset is that the cable isn't braided after a while the cable breaks easily. Happened to a friend who had these too, you will need to keep an eye on how the wire bends.

Other than that, comfy and decent sound. I can recommend the G430s though, same price and nice build quality just not as comfy.

Fantastic price if you can find anywhere with it in stock!

Stock in the Kirkcaldy store

Anyone who doesn't need the mouse but wants to buy this, maybe we can strike a deal, as I need the mouse but not the headset?

Just PM me if interested and we can work something out! (Oh and I've got 46 positive feedback from buying and selling on here so am 100% trustworthy).

as a lot of people have said, its worth the price just for the headset alone. The Siberia V2's are widely regarded as the best value for money headset on the market, I owned a pair of these for 2 years before the mic broke on it and steel series replaced it even though it was 3 months out of the warranty period! AND they gave me the Siberia v3 prism's which are worth £120! Great company, great products (although I'm not that big a fan of the mice) and great service!

Have turtlebeaches px22s and a decent a4 tech mouse just now. Ordered these hoping it's an upgrade.

great price for this bundle, the rival mouse is excellent

I bought this combo from PC world, headset is phenomenal quality, one of the best I've heard in its price range of not the best! currently use the mouse which replaced a broken razer death adder, really nice and smooth, can change the lights to anything to match your system! mouse matt is huge, think it's 450x450mm so I don't use it cos it's too big for my desk but it's a very nice surface all the same! I got the bundle for 90 quid and was well happy so if you can grab one for 50 that's insane, headset is worth that alone!

Looking for a headset and was thinking about getting a new mouse anyway so this looks like a really good deal. On top of that i get a good mouse mat, hopefully it wont be too big but cant complain Great find.

you're having a laugh. they don't even read what you write to them. they just tell you to RMA at your own cost.

You got those from this deal? Definitely interested in the mouse but can you give a little more detail as little dubious with this being your only ever comment on the site.

theres a lot of background chatter that goes on in my house, would these headphones drown that noise out at all or not?

I've got one reserved at Currys PC World Brentford, 6 West Cross Way, Great West Road nut something has come up so I may not be able to collect it.

If anyone wants the set (without the mouse, which I would like) but can't find any in stock then PM me and we can sort something out.

If anyone want to buy mouse or mousepad send me pm . Thanks

There is one left at North Shields Silverlink store. Managed to grab one but decided against taking the other and to share the love! Cheers for the post!

Wasn't going to get this because I only just bought a pair of HyperX Cloud headset but it seemed too good of a deal to pass. The mouse is supposed to be as good if not better than the Deathadder (which I use now) so wouldn't mind giving it a try, and the mouse mat is a nice thing to have too. Can't go wrong at this price, got one reserved to pick up tonight. Can't believe it's not hotter, this same bundle is £105 on Amazon right now.

Got a couple of sets reserved at Currys/PC World Fulham but I can't collect them so if anyone wants one and is kind enough to post one to me (I'll pay for postage of course), just PM me please.

I paid £25 for a Logitech Mx518 which is an incredibly good mouse, just like you say though the prices have gone a bit mad which I put down to gaming becoming more 'fashionable' and 'mainstream'. There's no bigger culprit than Razer in my eyes but everyone is at it these days! xD

That's a similar experience to what I went through, a pair of 'gaming' headphones died so I decided to plump for a pair of Sennheiser HD598's and the difference in sound quality is night and day which brings me to the conclusion that gaming peripherals are a bit of a con.
I replaced a dying Logitech MX518 (a decade of service!) with a Razer Deathadder mouse I sourced off of Amazon for £25 (horrific purple colour with the transformers logo on it meant it was 'cheap') and it's feels like an inferior product in every way, it feels like a £5 mouse with naff build quality.

Picked mine up tonight. Headphones are lovely. Mouse excellent but not one for the button obsessed.

The mouse mat is utterly stupid though.

Still stock in north east......silver link retail park has them......not sure how many they have but they are still taking reservations online.

The mouse alone is £40 the headset is about £60 and the mat about £5 how is this not hotter but an apple magic mouse is at £40???

Picked mine up the other day from Liverpool (Aintree) store, noticed there were 3 behind the till reserved by others, so the deal is definitely being snapped up. I can't comment on the headset because like I said in my previous post I've already got the HyperX Cloud's which are supposedly better than the Siberia V2 so not even opened it to compare.

Rival Mouse - Coming from a Deathadder 2013 and an original Deathadder before that, and previously other Razer mouse (Copperhead + Diamondback), I've not really tried any other brand mice outside of Razer for a while but this Rival is a really good alternative to the Deathadder due to the very similar shape/feel, and I think I might actually prefer it. Really nice shape for palm grip with decent click action, not as sensitive to click as the DA but nice solid feel to the clicks. Mouse wheel is also very nice and fluid, and the thumb buttons are easy to click too, with nice grips on side similar to DA 2013 but probably more pronounced. One thing it does have that the DA 2013 doesn't is an on-the-fly sensitivity switch button just under the wheel so you can change between a primary and secondary DPI/CPI whilst in game. I don't really use this function but would be good for people who like to use sniper with low sens but rifles with high sens as an example. As for the software, it is decent enough, can set the colour of the logo and mousewheel glow separately, and they can be multi colour changing or static colour however you want, can set the DPI/Poll rate/Sensitivity easily and can create profiles for games etc if you wish. Nothing really out of the ordinary but it works.

Mouse mat - the mat that comes with it is very very large, actually it is bigger than the Razer Goliath Control Large that it replaced which is already pretty big so make sure you have the desk space. The design on it is pretty underwhelming with pro players names plastered all over it, but if you aren't bothered about the looks, then it's actually a decent mat. Very nice and smooth, I suspect very similar to the Goliath Speed which is a more smoother texture than the control. Can't decide whether I prefer this or the rougher texture, but never the less, it is of top quality and is worth using if you don't have a 'professional gaming mouse mat' already.

This is a great deal if you can still get it especially if you will use all 3 items. I'll be selling the headset on which will probably almost fund the mouse + mat at this great price.
