Amazon Prime members only though.

True, although you could always just use a free prime trial if you haven't used one already.

Just to let you know if you have a student prime account it's £13.60 on Amazon, nabbed one myself as a spare mouse.

i have a student prime account and didn't get it cheaper?

I have a student prime membership and never gotten those 10% discounts. No idea why.

Bought the yellow/black one last week because the white one was out of stock. It's surprisingly good! Doesn't look tacky at all which is what I was afraid of.

Me either, I've even contacted them about it and they said, "Yes you have". But I honestly haven't.

Mark up on tat like this is insane

I'm assuming that if you have a problem with it, then Amazon will take it back in the first year, but pray it doesn't break in the second year (SS mice have a 2 year warranty).

I had a SS Sensei mouse that cost about £40-£50 at the time, and it broke in the exact same way three times (scrollwheel jumped up a notch while scrolling down randomly). Every time you have to send it to the EU at your own cost, which was about as much as this mouse does with tracking. After the third mouse I gave up and snagged a Logitech one instead. I won't touch SS again for mice, although their headsets are lovely and much more reliable.

The Student Prime 5% discount only applies for me on certain categories (stationary, books etc.) and only on items sold directly by Amazon.

Although saying that, the NUS Extra page is now saying this offer expired October last year so it may not be valid now.

Agree 100%, I had a Sensei Diablo and it developed the exact same problem. The scroll wheel would flick an extra notch every time I used it, incredibly annoying and won't touch steel series again. I stick with Zowie and Logitech now.

Just ordered a white one from Amazon, been after a white mouse for AGES! to match my Ducky Shine 2 in triple white.
Cheers for the heads up

Their products are great but not very reliable, headsets included. Sending stuff back is a pain but they are sometimes pretty flexible. Since owning a Siberia Elite I have RMA'd a few times and now I have that headset (£150 RRP) plus two Siberia 800 Wireless headsets (£250 RRP each) plus an additional 2 batteries. Only the very first RMA was I made to send the unit back first. Given that most of my issues were with batteries dying after years of usage they have been pretty good. I mean I only bought a wired headset from them, but now it gets no use as I have wireless headsets set up in the office and living room!

Also had a sensei, It had a two pronged issue of the mousewheel button being too light (so you'd press it scrolling) and the wheel eventually becoming stiff until it completely jammed up.

Now have a roccat Kone which also has issues with the mousewheel registering every 5th or so notch on the scroll wheel as being in the opposite direction.

Getting tired of buying premium mice that can't outlast the rubbish generic mouse you get bundled with PCs

I had a Roccat Kova+ and the glue leaked everywhere from it, drove me nuts! Roccat were rude and unhelpful.
I'm still using a Logitech G400 (Like the MX518) but it's had a hammering and a bit worn out.

I'll admit I've only had the one headset (Siberia Elite V2) which is a fairly standard wired headset, but I've owned it for many years and it keeps on trucking, despite me rolling over the cable too many times! My only criticism is that the volume wheel is a little unreliable now - sometimes the sound balance moves between sides when I'm adjusting it. I rarely do adjust it though, so it's a non-issue for me. I'd happily buy another (or equivalent) when the day comes that these finally fall apart.

Well I'm absolutely blown away by this mouse for the money, I was really expecting it to be awful and was worried about the plastic sides (Thought they would be rubber) All I can say is it's super comfy and works very well.

It's some cheap thing from Aldi, they have them there at the moment actually (Think they are a bit better than this one) Works very well, radio controlled time and temps seem bang on.

Great mouse, RGB too!!!

Gave in and ordered one earlier, my microsoft mouse has the mouse wheel grip peeling away so I need a new one.

Mouse arrived today, it feels slightly light and the side grips are plastic but for the price it's a really nice mouse, I really like the smooth surface it has and the clicks feel good.

I thought i'd hate the plastic side grips, I was about to cancel my order when I read up on it.
However! They are really comfy and less likely to wear down like the rubber painted grips I've had, the actual rubber ones I've had one some mice seem to accumulate finger ming and skin grease. The Roccat one I had the glue kept leaking out from behind the rubber grips!

The first thing I thought when I got the mouse in my hands was it was cold and soft in all the right places.

Since it's still on offer I decided to buy one due to all of the great reviews on Youtube and I have to say I'm impressed, it's a really nice mouse for the price and I didn't realize how much I'd love RGB until I spent like 10 minutes making it do a cool multi colored breath effect.

Well worth the money.
