Went to Asda Milton keynes yesterday and they were selling 6 bottles of Steinlager beer for £2.30. Exported from New Zealand. No idea what it tastes like but for 38p a bottle i thought I'll give it a try. 4.8% as well!

This beer is decent and dirt cheap at this price, it was being sold a month or so ago at £2.17 then went up to 3quidish, I think you must be lucky and have the last of the stock!

I drained our local store last time around.

Its nice , if you can still get it

There was a whole pallet load in Milton Keynes.

Fancy exporting some to not so sunny Gosport?

Pure or Classic? The Pure is top notch but really don't like the Classic.

Well worth the money. I stock-piled it when it was £2.17 but this is still very cheap. Hot.

How is this not crazy hot? Bought eight packs today.

got 2 boxes left of my six at £2.17 top beer so will check my local

Can't find any :-(

Hot! Unless you're like me: I stupidly spilled some of this delicious cheap beer on my laptop a few months back, driving up the effective price per bottle to something like 100 quid.

I just don't understand how they can import from New Zealand and sell at this price, super hot, great beer just for memories

Cant believe ive missed this, have to go and have a look in asda.

Nice beer. Lived over there for 18 years, and this was definitely my favourite. Mac's Gold was pretty good too. Anything's better than Rheineck or Lion Red though....good price. Heat added, although no Asda anywhere near me....

yeah I've been drinking this for 2 months and taking 10 boxes a week from the portsmouth store. It's all gone now. Didn't want to post it on herte in case it all disappeared hahaha

'Steinies', mac gold were defo the best from my time of living over in NZ. Crown lager (thou technically Aussie) must be my all time favourite.

Speights (no mates) and tui's were ok. Red lion and backpacker p*sswater export gold were like drinking dregs left over at a crack house party.

Memories....memories

Was **** rusty water after drinking half a dozen these, be careful.

How much is in each bottle? Hot if it's 330ml

it's a good beer - especially for the reduced price.

there were some in asda old kent road but they disappeared some time ago.

It's 355ml and it's a damned fine lager. Better than most generic rubbish brewed here 'under licence'.

Got a few packs of these when they were £2.17 but I thought that was all over. Must try again!

Hot.

Good luck with finding any/much of this, had about 4 failed orders of this last time it was on offer, cracking beer and cheap as chips if you get any, won't be making a special trip myself this time!

L O V E T H I S B E E R !

Loved this in New Zealand, then found it in Weatherspoons and thought it tasted god awful... Dunno what the difference was, but was very disapointed. Hope this is the good stuff, but at that price who cares!?

Funny how it's always such a mediocre beer that becomes a country's main export beer
eg. Steinlager, Fosters, Heineken, Stella, Carlsberg, Kronenburg...

Crown is definitely the superior brew, but Stein is an acceptable alternative.

Talking of beers tasting horrible after thinking it was beauty - Carlton Cold. Rancid when sober, nice at 1am in Walkabout!!

probably the fourth best lager in the world........very nice, its won many gold medals

Used to always treat myself to a crate of Crownies on pay day when I lived in Oz, bloody expensive but quality!!

Awesome beer. Got loads last time they were cheap. Need to stock up. Let me know if theres any in Stockport or Hyde Asdas.

Tried local store and none in stock but i think its been removed from the shelves, got a few more asdas to try but before i go ill see if i can see via facebook if the 3 other stores i can get to actually stock it.
