hot, but id guess its at your store only

Suppose I'll have to vote HOT....even though the stuff is minging imo. ;-)

usually 'Managers Special' is just in that store.

is it the 4% cans?

Yep

Great deal if you can get it - will have a look. Hot from me

if not available nationwide always the 20 x 440ml 5% cans for a tenner at tesco until 1st november.

Nice.

If you're looking for cheap lager, it's no £5 for 15 bottles of Carlsberg Export in Asda, though.

Voted hot.

wife beater is top quality at full strength but not this UK watered down rubbish.

10 x 440ml cans of Stella 4% for £4.02 = 91p per litre / 52p per pint.

15 x 275ml bottles of Carlsberg Export for £5.00 = £1.21 per litre / 69p per pint.

So, the Stella 4% wins the cheap lager challenge.

Seriously need to cut down on drinking. if people are putting stuff away like this already then Christmas will just kill that liver.

Wow, not heard that one before!

Glad it aint the premium one otherwise there'd be a lot of beaten wives round bristol way!

you need to get out more

Drank this stuff on draught, wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Decent price, pity it's not nationwide (unless someone else knows different)

Don't waste your time with logic, its obvious innit? There are 15 in the ASDA deal so it must be better :whistling:

This deal was on yesterday in my local Sainsburys, Spalding, Lincolnshire so I an confirm that there is definitely more than one store.
Might be worth checking (or a phone call) if you like this beer and have a Sainsburys nearby.
Personally, I too was pleasantly suprised by the quality/taste. Yes it's lower alcohol and brewed in the UK (using the original Belgian recipe according to the box) , but then so is full strength Stella isn't it?

this is cat p*ss , you'd drown before even feeling a little merry

strange how the taste seems to take a sideline for a lot of people, and just want the stonger one so they can forget it all that much quicker.

The 4% is truer to the original recipe and doesn't use half the chemicals used in the luton brewed stella (or kronenberg etc), hence it doesn't taste like drinking nickel. The becks/stella and kronenberg 4's are a much better drink than the originals imo.

The ASDA offer is for 15 x 330ml cans of 5% carlsbuerg export for £5...so a better deal

hotukdeals.com/ite…-at

This stuff tastes like Cat **** as peviously mentioned. Stella in my opinion needs the extra 1-1.5% to give it its trademark taste. Otherwise it tastes like Calrsberg, weak and horrid.

Voted hot, but I wouldn't/couldn't drink it since I was about 23.

Who do I have to kill to get a similar priced drinkable real ale deal?

The post I was replying to was referring to the deal for 15 x 275ml bottles for £5 at Asda.

In any case, the deal you have linked to works out at £1.01 per litre / 57p per pint, so the Stella 4% deal posted here still wins the cheap lager challenge.

If you are only basing your maths on quantity, drink water because it is free...I'd much rather pay the extra 10p a litre 5p a pint for a stronger lager as it works out better value for money.

And lets not forget that the ASDA deal is nation wide where as this is only available in one store...lol

Actually this is brewed in the same Welsh brewery as 5% Stella, it using the exact same ingredients as 5% stella, which in fact is the original recipe and ABV - Visit Belgium and you'll see that 5% is the minimum ABV you can purchase.

Just incase anyone cared !! Anyhow, back to the deal..it's HOT !

Newcastle Brown is the only beer for me.

Excellent deal. Bought 10 boxes from Ruislip,so it's not just in one store.
