NO ONE HAS EVER ESCAPED FROM THE INSTITUTE.

Luke Ellis, a super-smart twelve-year-old with an exceptional gift, is the latest in a long line of kids abducted and taken to a secret government facility, hidden deep in the forest in Maine.

Here, kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - like Luke's new friends Kalisha, Nick and Iris, are subjected to a series of experiments.

There seems to be no hope of escape. Until Luke teams up with an even younger boy whose powers of telepathy are off the scale.

Meanwhile, far away in a small town in South Carolina, former cop Tim Jamieson, looking for the quiet life, has taken a job working for the local sheriff. He doesn't know he's about to take on the biggest case of his career . . .

THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY OUT.

'An epic tale of childhood betrayal and hope regained... an immersive tale full of suspense and thrills that will keep readers up late at night racing towards a heartbreaking yet glorious finale... a dazzling achievement' - Daily Express

It offered me a no rush reward too.
Sounds like Stranger Things a bit :/
I found it an interesting idea but I feel it dragged on a bit personally.
If it were on Kindle at this price then i'd give it a go. Not paying £5.99 for it, SK books these days can be a hit or miss in how good they are.
Same price in Tesco stores

The blurb does make it sound like this but not very similar. Not in the same league as the very best SK but worth £3.50
Usually a kindle guy but at this price couldn’t resist
voted hot!
ordered - thanks OP
Very good on the whole, especially the first half.

It offered me that too but how do you go about applying it?
Great read. Can’t beat a Stephen King story. Well worth the money imo

Looks like you have to spend at least £10 for the no rush reward

It seems No Rush delivery isn't available to everyone.. I belive it's to do with your geographical location and availability of items to that location.. or something like that. I've never been able to avail of it anyway.

What would you put up there as the best - I've read alot and started in my youth with the green mile which came out in 5 books from memory! I was hooked. I've read all the SK classics but was wondering if there were any hidden gems?
You could rip out the middle 200 pages of a King book and still get the jist. He is so boring.

I got in in audio book format and never finished it. It's a good premise but it's pretty dull, SK is in full ramble. Also, it's supposed to be set in the present day and about teenagers & younger yet they all talk like well educated 50 year olds and often make weird references to pop culture from the 70s & 80s.

I am sure you have read these but “The Bachman Books” are good novellas. It’s a collection of 4 ( Rage, The Long Walk ( fantastic book), Roadwork and Running man ( which the film was based on but like many of SK early film so much better in print)
