Agreed! The sheer size and epic nature alone makes the book so satisfying... the tv miniseries is very dated, low budget and a bit cringey but surprisingly faithful to the the book.

I always imagined Randall Flagg to look like Charles Manson. maybe due to the cover of the stand I had read.
Matthew McConaughey did a good job as a different Randall Flagg in the Dark Tower. Known in that as the man in black
