is this stuff any good?

Been looking for something to remove chewing gum from a seat belt in my car, Will have a go cheers:p

Ideal for removing sticky residue left on bottles/cans after removing labels.

The best thing for removing sticky stuff off new drinking glasses or anything like that is mayo.

Just but some cheap mayo and use that, rub some on and pick at it and it will come off.

Have used this trick for years on glasses, golf club shafts, bowls etc etc ....

Good old plain mayo !!!!

This is brilliant stuff, I usually buy it from Lakeland at £3.99. Can be used for taking labels of plastic containers, in fact anything that is sticky,

WRONG! Lighter fluid is the best...IMO

I find isopropryl acohol gets all labels off a treat, it's a spray can however not sure of the price as I have had a big can for ages. Great find though, heat added

Not too keen on using lighter fluid on something I plan to drink out of, plus it stinks. Granted it will remove sticky residue, have used the product in question and it does work. Good price aswell.

Yep, was about to post the same thing

If this is anywhere near as good as Lakeland's then it's a bargain. And a bottle will last years. A few spots will remove the stickiest of labels from glasses, CD Cases, books etc.

I've had a bottle for the last 6 years and will be tempted to buy this one.

WD40 will also remove sticky labels.

Yup, WD40 works well for me too. Hot tip!

This stuff on the deal is very good too. A little goes a very long way. Recommended. HOT deal.

WD40 yayyyyyyyyyy

Good stuff!

Ive tried all the regular suggestions like baby oil, hairspray, nail polish remover, wd40 etc etc but nothing beats this stuff IMO!

you should get a bottle of this free when you have a baby. a million uses.getting sellotape off windows. takes tatoos off, the kids ones. its great

I get a lot of CDs from Cash Generator and the like, but their labels never come off - Must give this a try

This will work a treat, basic tip, a couple of drops on a cloth, and leave it for 20 seconds or so, then rub off. It is quite oily, so use sparingly, but this does the trick.

White spirit is also good, used to use it all the time on cpu and heatsinks

a lot of suggestions like WD40 are good but leave an aroma - hopefully this doesnt

(that wasn't good grammar ! - the suggested liquids leave an aroma!)
