Possibly one of the funniest movies I have ever seen with an awesome double act in Pryor and Wilder @ a very reasonable price!

"Playwright Skip Donahue (Wilder) and actor Harry Monroe (Pryor) are out of work and penniless. Deciding they have had enough of Broadway, they set off to make their fortunes and find freedom down South. On the way, their funds get so low that they have to find work; as singing, dancing Woodpeckers promoting a bank. Plagued by bad luck, thieves steal their costumes and rob the bank, and guess who gets the blame and get put jail?

Whacky laughs, riotous situations, thrills and spills make this one of the looniest mad-cap prison-break escapades ever!"

We bad, We bad!

CLASSIC - One of my favs - Buy it if you haven't seen it. Falls a little downhill towards the end but its hard to keep up that pace throughout!

W-W-WALLET!! "Have you got the right case?"!

I AGREE I THINK THIS IS THE SECOND FUNNIEST FILM EVER AFTER SEE NO EVIL HEAR NO EVIL!!!

How weird, I posted the 'we bad' clip on my Facebook profile about a week ago after accidently coming across when looking for something else on Youtube. I watched it on TV not long after not having seeing it since I was a kid and it is still hilarious!

Classic i watched The Lady In red last night, another great film with Wilder in. Heated added.

Brilliant film - I sky+ this the other week for old times sake. Forgotten how funny it was. Have some heat

Always loves See No Evil but this movie surpasses it. Superb comedy that sadly some modern films can't match. Voted Red HOT.

See no evil hear no evil is £3.03 on play also

Ah man!!
This is a classic X)

That box set with Stir Crazy, See No Evil, Brewster's Millions and Car Wash ain't bad at under £7.00 either.

Yeah but that's not one of them.

Amazing how many people just come out with any line from a movie without choosing whether it's funny or memorable. Only about 2 out of 10 so far fit that criteria. X)

That's one of the nice things about films...the lines that are funny or memorable are completely down to each individual's taste or sense of humour.

This is one of the funniest films ever.

Quite true. It also shows what taste and sense of humour one has. Poor by the looks of some quotes.

Yeah that's classic.

Also when Grossburger starts singing, and especially when everyone else in the cell isn't in the least bit surprised.

singing

I'm actually amazed to find out he actually sung that for real! Always thought he just mimed it. Part of the laugh for me had always been that they had superimposed the audio track of someone else singing so sweetly onto this 400 lb monster and that it was so crazy. Turns out it was for real!

Thanks for that, I'd assumed it was dubbed as well. Seems he was an Opera singer and an actor, sad to hear that he passed away in 1987 aged 34 after heart failure Grossberger Actor Wiki page
