it is the budget range, they just rebranded. its pretty smart business move. lot of people seeing the budget label , basic smart price etc, and stay away from it. just stick a brand on it and people buy it. lot of the budget stuff isnt all that bad

This is the budget range...
T E Stockwell is the first three letters of Tesco. Co being Jack Cohen, founder. So just an attempt to pass off as a real brand when it's just run of the mill own brand.
Was this not the name of the spring water from "Only Fools and Horses"?

Very clever indeed - and hands down a much better look and feel to the previous ‘everyday value range’ at the same price!

This is not a deal. All supermarkets sell a 2ltr bottle of fizzy water for 17p - so tesco rebrand and this is classed as a deal????

“Rebranding is a marketing strategy in which a new name, term, symbol, design, or combination thereof is created for an established brand with the intention of developing a new, differentiated identity in the minds of consumers, investors, competitors, and other stakeholders”. Yes - it’s a deal. A big deal in fact because no other supermarket sells 2 litres of no frills water that doesn’t have a basic no frills branding for 17p. If they do, please share the link here....
All of this is just copying the Aldi and Lidl strategy for selling own brand products, the only difference is tesco are mainly doing it on value lines, meat and veg vs Aldi and Lidl doing it to all of their products. It's long been known consumers will always prefer the fake brand products over the value packaged ones as they are more appealing than the dull value packaging plus a fake brand is more trusting than a value one.
I thought when the own label one disappeared, they were binning it, getting ready for the price increase/deposit scheme on plastic bottles when it comes in. Glad it's still going for now.

Heat from me.
Can we talk about the taste.. I've tried it and it doesn't have a budget or cheap after taste to it. Quite nice actually. I'm referring to the still one, yet to try sparkling

As far as carbonated water goes, it tastes very neutral.
The only one I can think of sampling that had a slightly unusual flavour was Morrisons own brand.

yes but the everyday value range was true Spring Water, the new bottles made by Stockwell taste exactly like Tap Water. it's definitely not spring water.

It’s the same Chase Spring water, same taste, same price but with the no frills, basic, value packaging dropped ...
