Oh the constant tick tock hammering of the conventional wall clocks made me like ....

Till I found this silent wall clock, I'd say for £2 its damn hard to go wrong. The only slight grouse being the white letters on the white background.

Best to buy in store, as the delivery price defeats the purpose.

Description
No disturbing ticking sounds since the clock has a silent quartz movement. Highly accurate at keeping time as it is fitted with a quartz movement.

Batteries are sold separately; 1pc LR6 AA 1.5V required. We recommend using alkaline batteries in the clock.

Hope it helps someone.

I got a couple of these for my kids. It's very easy to pry off the plastic cover of the clock and use some sharpies to customise it by colouring in the numbers.

I think they could have thought about the name for a little longer...

A stoma is an opening on the abdomen that can be connected to either your digestive or urinary system to allow waste (urine or faeces) to be diverted out of your body. It looks like a small, pinkish, circular piece of flesh that is sewn to your body.
These are the most unsilent clocks you could ever imagine. The second hand from 0 to 30 has a constant whirring/grinding sound which would drive you mad if it's in your bedroom and you're trying to sleep. Cheap for a reason.

Ouch, didn't know Although there is a method to the seeming madness in the way Ikea names its products stickybranding.com/how…em/

Thanks. It's a great clock by the way, well worth the £2.

Came here to say just that

Given that 2 people have now said just that, it must be important
Not in your wildest dreams could you call these silent. Bought 3, you can still clearly hear the cogs turning even if they're not ticking.

I have one of these since it was posted last time , was £2 then aswell. These are Not silent as others have stated. The white letters on the white background - are actually numbers! easily sorted with some acrylic paint .
Couldn't think of a better name...
Cracking deal, I have recently paid £15 for a silent, sweeping clock.
£2 can't go wrong. 🔥Heat.
all Ikea wall clocks are silent, not just this design.

I know it's just £2 but it looks £2 too.more suitable for kids room.

they have much better more mature/all around models staring at £6..like this one:

38525389-lP16q.jpg
or this one £12

38525389-ejBLK.jpg
and this one is £10

38525389-d0NlU.jpgplus many more..

I was there the other day and this white £2 one really looks cheap and childish in person imo.
I have one, from earlier posting ...£1.77?
-white numbers crazy, marker penned mine, mechanism noisy after a while ...AND after fitting a new battery, clock kept stopping!!...and another battery, and another...after about 5 new batteries(and swapping with my Poundlworld clocks! -anyhow, turns out poor quality connectors inside mechanism, buy another clock from elsewhere, seriously.
Poundworld ARE much better quality (RIP Poundworld)
AVOID, end of....

Looks like someone needs a new keyboard, all your punctuation keys are sticking and your space bar has broken.

These clocks are not silent. Makes a whirring noise that becomes more apparent when you hang it up, so annoying

Very strange name choice. I mean its almost as if it originates from somewhere other than the English language. Wait, do you think it perhaps means something different in Swedish. Crazy!
Hey it was early, and the noise from that damn clock kept me awake 😋
-corrected now,
Thanx

Err No. And there's a long line of products which had to change their names for different countries. Like this one for example...

As far as I remember Kodak choose that name by doing loads of research that it didn't mean something bad in another language!

Some fascinating facts about the company and the name here telegraph.co.uk/fin…tml - turns out George Eastman just came up with the name out of sheer whim and got lucky that it stuck or so it seems

Easy mat... "Look into my eyes.. not around the eyes.. right into my eyes"

Just used tinyeye and a bit of "librarian" skills I have, took a while, but like your comment, well worth it!

By the way... HEAT!!

I have 2 (other designs that I posted above) and both are completely silent.
what you describe is a fault.I've seen it happening with some other sweep clock, the hands mechanism scratch part of the interior because they are misaligned.
