Boots have a Pizza gift set in their half price offer for £8.25, which includes a pizza stone the same size as the pampered chef one which costs £22.50, plus you get a pizza cutter, a parmasan grater and some italian herbs! If you have ever used Pampered Chef products then you will know that their stonewear is AMAZING, so grab yourself a bargain at a fraction of the price.
I think this is a great deal if you are looking for a pizza stone, and i for one would definitely recommend them!
Please go easy on me as this is only my second attempt at this!

(plus apparently Boots are reducing their 50% sale to a 75% sale from Saturday - although this is unconfirmed)

Why so cold, seems a fair price IMO, Can only assume the cold voters are waiting until next wednesday ;-)

You need to edit this chuck - put the price and the merchant in the title for a start. I presume it is instore only, so you need to state that too, otherwise people will expect your link to take them to the product.

Otherwise I expect this will go cold quite quickly. Hot from me though,

Cheers for the heads up, I've changed the title to include price and in store only! Let's hope it doesn't go cold!!!

did you put it in the oven when the oven was cold? allow it to get to heat before putting pizza in, and the allow pizzastone to cool naturally? if so, sounds like you got a dodgy one.

heronon1uk - I would take it back to boots and get them to exchange it for another one, I'd imagine it was dodgy as I've been using one for over a year now and no problems at all. You def need to put it in a cold oven and let it warm up otherwise it gets thermal shock! Hope you get it sorted out.

hey glad i read this post now. I got one of these as a XMAS present for my new house. Luckily i havent moved in or i would seriously have put this in a hot oven woooops.

Can't understand why people buy from Boots in the "half price " sale. As eveyrthing was 3 for 2 before Xmas, things aren't really half price. I'm waiting until next week .

I'm an ex p/chef consultant - the stones will crack in the following circs -

If a heavy frozen item is placed on one (eg meat joint)
If the stone is not filled at least 2/3 full
If the stone was damaged in transit.

Made the mistake myself of thinking 2/3 full when knew they weren't but paid the price of cheating!

Also - the more you use these, the better they are. Once it's built up it's non stick seasoning, makes the most fantastic roast spuds.

half price is better than 3 for 2 offers, eg if each item cost £1 each the total on the 3 for 2 offer for 3 items would be £2, but the total for the 3 items half price would be £1.50!

Thanks Redrhino and Mamashine, I had popped into the BOOTS store today and mentioned what had happened, I was told that we could return it and get it replaced or have a refund, so was thinking of taking it back and having it replaced, I have been thinking of buying one of these for a while now, but to think that it fell apart in literally 10mins of use, has put me off, in a dillema on whether to replace it or not..

your not alone! My partner bought one of these as a present and when it was used it cracked within minutes, took it back for an exchange and it happened again. As far as I know they used it abiding to instructions so I think boots delivery drivers probably have something to do with it =\
