Right now it's probably the cheapest price but I guess the cold votes will be because it has been available for as low as £11.99 using some slightly sneeky upgrade offers for existing customers that happen to be full software package (not an upgrade) and available to anyone at all. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/corel-paint-shop-pro-x9-ultimate-full-version-1199-paintshop-pro-2617609 https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/paintshop-pro-x9-ultimate-bonus-collection-full-download-version-75-off-1999-corel-2572015
No idea, it's still free to download and the upgrade is still £15.99 using the special link I gave.
Why is this expired? Good one OP.
Still active 14 Feb 2017, found it after buying the PSPX9 Ultimate offer and trying to find out more about Aftershot 3 before I install that (only really bought the deal for the main Paintshop Pro, the rest is a bonus)
This deal is still active as of Jan 25th - you can still download the free Aftershot 3 software (despite the offer supposedly ending December) and the £15.99 upgrade to Pro still works too.
Thanks for posting this. Never thought to after seeing the deal on Corel's Site :) Worth it if you need Aftershot Pro and is the cheapest you can get it AFAIK. Just bought it for about £11.05 using discount code DPC20OFF
Confused the hell outta me....
What irritates me about Corel's line of photo editing software is that they seem to cause total confusion in what they have on offer because they have bought up several of their minor competitors and marketed them as their own product in competition with their own brands. I have used Corel Photo-paint since about version 3 and always found it to be an excellent product, an equal to Photoshop. You used to be able to buy photo-paint as a separate app, or as part of the Corel Draw bundle. Then, after about version 11, they bought up Paint Shop Pro, which was what everyone used to use as their "free" photo-editing software. This then confused rhings because they then were marketing Corel photo-paint X2, X3, X4 (whatever) and also Paint Shop Pro X2. Then it seems you coul only get Corel Photo-Paint by buying a Corel Draw bundle, and PSP X2 becomes the default photo-editor. Then we have Photoimpact, which I remember as used to be sold by another Corel competitor, yet they are now selling it as a Corel product in competition to their own alternatives - I don't get it - what are they doing?
Hi No download from the US site
do you transfer to the uk site for this and put in the codes andy, as link to usa
I think it's expired.... I waited until after my Win7 upgrade, and now it's gone!!!!!
I like Corel stuff generally....but isn't this a bit too basic? well for video anyway
I used my UK address as I figured the credit card authorisation may need it (using a UK credit card)
You forgot to add the sales tax.
$30 = 18.0433 GBP on xe.com Code works fine.
It’s working now but they add tax at the checkout which brings it up to $34.50 which is roughly £21.50 based on the exchange rate I got yesterday. A good price for software that plays Blu-ray discs which I don’t believe your alternatives do.
I used the link in the thread which gives the pricing in $ but it said the code was no longer valid. Did you arrive at the USA site by a different route?
Code seems to work on the USA site - brings the price down to $30 for the download version.
Couldn't get the code to work and the Pro version came in at £78.99 !!
How? I can walk somewhere for free or I can get a taxi and pay for it? But I wouldn't compare the two as the same thing
With grateful thanks to overclockers forum... To remove nag screen (on exit) do the following: 1. After installing, open the following file in Notepad: C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Paint Shop Pro X\PCUUI\Container.htm 2. Erase all the text, replace it with the following code: Save the file
Great price for a Corel product, have used PSP 8 for ages so a free upgrade is a welcome addition! It works fine on Windows XP and the PSIService.exe file which is installed just makes sure it is not a pirated copy - this only uses up 3 MB of memory. The only gripe is when closing the program, it asks you if you want to purchase a newer version, but I don't mind considering this is free!

:xOnly available for Windows. So big cold vote from me.
Wouldnt work on my Vista laptop either .
complete cr*p its trial pay else basic version which aint much better than paint
Im not sure what this is like but if you are after free software for photo editing try out Picasa from Google - I have been using it and its awesome - great if you are a basic user. Well worth a go - mega simple to use and impressive results
Good post. Just downloaded it and it gives you the option to back up your photos with them online which is handy, Thanks
11 seconds?! PSP 7 takes 1-2 seconds on mine. I guess when you work with apps all day these things matter. I suppose 11 seconds is too long for something I may only use for a few seconds to a couple of minutes anyway so it's down to my working style. If it takes 11 seconds for PSP, how long does it take for Photoshop/Illustrator?!?!
My PC is a lower spec than yours yet only takes 11 seconds to load on mine!
The default setup - the buttons were small and numerous and I just can't be bothered to sort it out after waiting so long for it load (and that's with a 3 GHz Core 2 Duo E8400 and 3.5 GB of RAM!).
Cluttered in what way exactly?
just thought id check what the price difference between this and Adobe Photoshop CS4 Adobe Photoshop CS4 Full is £557.75 i think this is better lol
I said, its only available in WH Smiths stores at this price. The Link is only to the publishers page, since this is an offline deal.
Out of stock
https://secure.widearea.co.uk/cisubs/IMAG/PSP Try this page instead. Goes straight to the code input page. And then onto the direct debit page.
Where do you enter the code? Don't want to enter bank details and pressing enter incase it processes order straight away.
Educational means you have to be a college or school to buy it, and the upgrade license is restricted. You can get your college to buy it but the license is one off.
I doubt anyone would vote this cold because its cheaper to pirate! I have seen this for £69 on an education licence. Microwarehouse do it for this price. Maybe thats why its so cold n here? (I haven't voted either way)
added heat but its still cold!
I wonder why this is cold since theres no competition here. Oh yeah, piracy price is free. Too bad you dont get all the manuals and extra content with that.
This is a very good price. However, you have to wonder why Corel are doing this - do you think there may be an X.5 coming out soon? Anyone wanting to upgrade will get a much better deal elsewhere, for example Amazon are selling it for £100.99 against Corel's £128.99.
Expired: Corel has brought out a new versions of Paint Shop Pro X2, they've updated their website, and this deal no longer works. Sorry folks ! Hope you managed to get your software before they closed this loophole!
thanks for the response, heat added for a very good deal but I think I'll stick with PSP6 at the moment. One of the advantages of X2 though is it runs on Vista which I understand older versions of PSP (eg. PSP 6) don't. Still, since I've managed to avoid Vista so far (and will continue to do so) so I'll stick with PSP6.
Good question. I've always used Paint Shop Pro 7, and, I've got to admit, when I've got a quick job to do, I do still continue to use this version. Paint Shop Pro X2 has a lot more functionality, but, yes, it does take a lot longer to load, typically around 35 seconds until it's ready to go. My best advice: give the trial version a go, see if you can cope with the loading times, and see if you think it justifies the extra features you'll get. There's a lot in there, but the helpful instructions on the left of the screen talk you through what to do. Like I've said in a previous post, just remember that Corel's support is terrible. So if you do hit a problem, don't expect to get any extra help...
You can happily download the trial version, use it for upto 30 days, and if you do decide it's worth £17, then you can make a purchase, and get a license key to "upgrade" the trial version to the full blown version.
The offer IS for an activation/serial key but this is so you can put it in when you DOWNLOAD the whole program , not a trial version. The link will be in the email you recieve.
