Strategy Board Games - £7.99 each @ The Works (Instore) (Oxford)

Found 20th Sep 2011
The Works is selling Rio Grande strategy board games at £7.99 - that amounts to about 70% off the RRP! Many of these games are at least £20 (Notre Dame is selling for £29 at Amazon, and Cuba is selling at BoardGameClub at £39!), if you buy them from other retailers like Amazon or Board Game Club. Get them quick, especially if the games are your cup of tea!

Also available online now:…gy/

The list of board games include:

Cuba, Ming Dynasty, Montego Bay, Batavia, Notre Dame, Eketorp, Albion and Highland Clans (also known as Mac Robber).

*Saw this at The Works in Oxford, but I guess it should be available in other shops too?

Was just about to post this's an amazing offer

Only suitable for those prepared to tackle something a little harder (and much better!) than Monopoly
The best two of these (but also the most complex) are Notre Dame and Cuba
At the simpler end (more suitable for families and children 8+ years) the best two are Eketorp and Montego Bay

It's pretty much nationwide across all of The Works.
fantastic if you can find them. Off now for a look
Man, such a shame that Puerto Rico is not on the list.
Doesn't seem to be in the Cambridge store. Great deal if you can find it.
none in slough
This thread on BoardGameGeek lists some of the places they have been found. It seems to be pretty much nationwide:…-99
more games coming up next week:…/10 (thanks to Mark Rivera at BoardGameGeek)
Was going to post after spotting these in the Chatham branch (and also seeing some online). Well beaten to it, but will echo just how good a deal this is, if you like this sort of thing.
Just a quick note to say that the two shops in Oxford have some of these in stock again. Ming Dynasty, Montego Bay and Notre Dame are all in stock, however, I bet they won't be for long.

I haven't seen Cuba, which is the one I really want.

EDIT: Ponte del Diavolo, Strozzi, Caylus Magna Carta and The Three Commandments were also available.

Also Albion and La Citta are there. Solihull and B'ham stores are rammed with all these games
ponte del diavolo, hamburgium and the 3 commandments amongst others now available in the slough branch.
