Street Fighter 30th anniversary collection (Nintendo Switch) £32.99 @ Argos

17
Found 29th May
All SF games from 1 - 3 including the Alpha series. I've been playing it online and I have to say it plays well. I was gonna buy this on the eshop but it's £12 dearer an £44.99.

Why is this cold, is it cheaper elsewhere?

I dabbled with this before - I think it's because the switch version is more expensive than other consoles. I don't recall seeing this cheaper - seems a good 'i might bite' price!

I guess people think what's effectively a reboot of an old game should be cheaper. Maybe this means the price will drop?

Anyway although I don't have a Switch I think this will be massive fun and worth it.

I actually think the Switch version of the previous game was so hounded by this, but was actually the best version of SF2 ever. This one is just a lazy port of some roms with online play for some (if you care).

It's not value for money, It's £21.99 on Xbox and ps4... I understand the switch version can be played anywhere but the price difference is a joke.
Are there two different SF collections on the switch?

Ultra Street Fighter 2 came out last year but had “HD” graphics and high price tag for a rerelease of a remake.

This new release has all the mainstream arcade2D Street Fighter games in one package.
Works out about £30 from the USA store if you want digital as opposed to our price of £44.99
Worth noting that the Switch version also includes an exclusive eight player tournament mode for Super Street Fighter II that can be played locally with four consoles.

It's a bit pricier than the other console versions, sure, but it's a different proposition really. You're getting portable, arcade perfect (because they are literally arcade ROMs) versions of key SF games with an additional mode built specially for local tourneys.

Yep noticed that. What a joke. Then you add on top other versions being cheaper and offering more content. This needs to stop...but won't till people start backlashing against it, rather than make excuses for it.

The others get an extra game...usf4 trumps a throwaway tournament mode surely?
