I'm still amazed this doesn't ship with a solo vs CPU mode.

Say what?! That's the only way I play these type of games.

It's obvious this was pushed out the door ("rushed" is a little harsh) in time for the hardcore 'Evo' tournament players for this years competition.

So doesn't have an arcade mode with a story behind it?

Is this a good deal?

Pretty light on the solo content, it'll drop in price fast. just wait.

I would have been a day one buyer, but after reading how much is missing its an absolute joke. Do a google search before buying.

Everything will be added March-June.

Whilst I detest this kind of thing, as I want everything on a disc, forever, it's not the end of the world,as it isn't too long to wait.

No doubt a complete disc edition will show up at some point.

Apparently it has a short story mode where each character faces between 2 and 4 fights, so a lot shorter than it is traditionally. On top of that, apparently you can win each fight by just repeatedly leg sweeping, so guessing the final AI isn't in place just yet. I'm not supporting this game as it seems cut down with freemium options in place to be rolled out in March.

Apparently coming as free DLC in June/July, not sure how a beginner/casual Street Fighter player is supposed to practise without a vs CPU mode.

That's sounds good then. At least it will be easy to do the not take a hit or get thrown with perfects finishing with super/ultra moves with no continues in order to fight super/evil/shin Bison/Akuma/Regal lol.

they have the main modes that you will only play... training and online. that work brilliantly too. it is also one of the best training modes in any fighting games

there is vs cpu mode, its called story and survival. as a fan of the franchise i am getting what i want but all those extra features that are coming i would only look at once. i dont need them so i can wait because i would rather get the game now instead of waiting until summer for modes i will only play once.

everything is going to be free including new characters. i am not too sure about costumes but i assume they would be free too.

if you dont wanna play the game online then maybe this should not even be a day 1 buy in the first place. i cant imagine anyone being interested in a fighting game to just play against the cpu. that is really boring imo.

as a fan of fighting games i am fine with what is happening but i suppose new players are going to be disappointed. been playing all morning, its amazing imo.

Do not buy this game. It is very barebones and unfinished. It blows my mind that Capcom thought it was acceptable to release a game in this state and still think its acceptable to charge full price.

No this is a big deal. If you support this it will show people are fine with unfinished games and other companies will do the exact same thing drip feeding content that should have shipped on the disc. This game was in development for at least 4 years yet doesn't have any basic features or modes that its previous game did right 7 damn years ago.

Thanks for the info guys, was going to buy but I'll get it when it's been updated......and half the price!!!

This doesn't even have online lobbies. How can people defend this turd of a game?

So... What does this game actually have?

lol you really hate this game don't you

what happened with splatoon and killer instinct is happening to this... this isnt like evolve where they put everything behind a pay wall and squeeze all the money they can from you. this is sort of like a free to play system where they will update the game every month. every update is free from now to the next game. so even the next set of DLC characters are free. there are no microtransactions to be clear.

look, i am not licking capcoms ass. i was shocked too with features missing. but all of those things are coming. there is still so much to do until march with the update and the next dlc character.

if you wanna wait then go for it. capcom needed to get this out now for the pro tour that is starting soon. if youre a fighting game fan then you will be fine until they roll out the next updates

if youre going to complain at least look at the good stuff too. capcom learned form the disaster that was SFXT too but i dont think what is happening with SFV is a big a deal as what people are making out. there is a lot of misinformation going around from internet trolls.

I really doubt it. I cant imagine prices reducing as more free content is added to the game.

Why would i hate it? If Street fighter 5 gets away with it other companies will copy if they can get away with it.

This game will be at least half price by summer. Once all the hardcore fans buy it and the hype is gone it will drop as Street fighter is a niche franchise now.

Looks like its not only the solo stuff that this game is having problems with.

They are still having multiplayer issues even though they had like 8 betas.

No disrespect but this is what fighter fans grew up on. As you're a fan of fighting games I'm baffled as to how you cannot see that.

I agree, single player mode even for practice for multiplayer later on down the line is an absolute must, I so want to get this game but the lack of content right now is alarming.

Personally i am skipping this game. I have Street fighter 4 for my Street fighter fix and i'm waiting for Tekken 7 instead. I played the beta of Street fighter 5 and wasn't impressed with the gameplay as its dumbed down compared to 4 with not much depth.

Most people dont care, they play competitively and they want as much time before evo as possible.

I concede for more casual players not interested in online this isnt a very attractive package but for many they wouldnt even touch the offline modes.

I don't give a rat's ass about Evo or any other excuse for why its okay to release unfinished games. If the content is releasing later then they need to price the game for what is shipped on disc. Also its not only the offline modes that are missing as this game is missing a few multiplayer features including online lobbies and spectator mode.

It's currently £41.99. Has the price gone up? If not, then 10% off is £37.79.

Everyone keeps talking about all dlc being free with in game currency but how have capcom structured it? Have they structured it so that it requires 1 yr of non stop online play just to get one character dlc? i..e like those andriod/ios games where paying real money for the dlc is the most likely realistic option.

Its still £38.99 here:

saw this in game, looks amazing!!!

I dont buy into this free DLC. You only have to look at Capcom's record with DLC. A ultra hyper super domination edition will be out in 8 months.

wasn't keen on the demo, the way the old characters look was really off putting

The gameplay is ace. Bit disappointed today for a few reasons, like I can't get games online and yes story mode would be less tedious than sitting in training mode for hours until I get a match. Also had issues with gamepad not working and had to find third party support.

But once it gets going, it's fantastic. The combat is so meaty and aggressive, I'm hooked already. Meta game is mad different to SF4, so don't feel burned out at all.

Just can't get games. Don't understand it, thought loads of people would be playing online tonight.. Going to bed in a huff!

Fighting a human was always the point of Streetfighter, the cpu was always practice.

Waiting until it's "complete". Out of stock now anyway.
