I thought they said this game wouldn't have any paid DLC? :/

Capcom never said that at all. There's a currency in the game called Fight Money that can be earned in game, that bypasses the need to buy content with real money. Street Fighter V always gets a kicking on forums but it's by far the most customer friendly fighter in gaming right now (Arc Systems release yearly updates basically and Namco have incredibly expensive DLC). SFV has been updated (and improved) without the need for buying a new version since the beginning.
Terrible game, even after all the updates.

Say what you want about "It should have been like that or been included on release". Capcom have massively updated this game since it's original "vanilla" release 2 years ago. Constant balances and character tweaks, it's almost a different game compared to how it once was.

That sounds a hell of a lot better than the scummy system in the latest SC.

Any reason why you think it's terrible?

I've not played that, how does it work? Was thinking of buying it because of the Neir Automata fighter (2B)
Not being able to play as Blanka without grinding or DLC is some laugh.

It's better in theory, although earning enough fight money to unlock the characters is a right old pain in the proverbial. It's clearly been designed to make unlocking things for free suitably laborious that many will be tempted to just pay for the DLC.

I read that they said there wouldn't be any other editions of Street Fighter V like there were with IV (Super and Ultra, ECT.).

Saying that, I always find season passes to be a rip off when it comes to fighting games. They want half the games price for a fraction of the characters.
One thing that bothers me about season passes in fighting games is that we now have to pay extra for characters that have been in the game from the beginning. They can hold characters off and make people pay more for fan favourites. Glad the whole Soulcalibur thing kicked off with Tira (even though she wasn't in it from the beginning).

Season passes should include the likes of guest characters if anything
Meanwhile, Ultra Street Fighter IV is regularly on sale, for as low as £5.99, and includes FORTY-FOUR CHARACTERS, no questions asked.
